Lost: Tropic Crash ((OPEN))

[Fable]

This is an RP based around the show Lost. Lots of folks on a plane when it crash lands on an island. Everyone has to work together to survive (or look out for number 1). The survivors will need to figure out how to feed themselves and others, how to escape the fluctuating weather, care for others injuries, and on top of all that strange things will start to happen around the island, and dangerous creatures lurk in the jungle. Can you survive?


This post is for sign up (once i have a handful of survivors I'll get the RP rolling... or really... crashing) as well as discussing what you would like to happen on the Island. It doesn't have to be from the show Lost(but it can be. just please remember not everyone has seen/ seen all of the show and you may have to explain what it is you want to happen). If you feel things have been going too well for the survivors and think they should encounter a huge tropical storm or something you can bring that up here.


Although this is a serious RP and I don't want people just popping up from no where- If you would like to join after the story started we may be able to find a way to include your character. Also If you will not be around a while IRL it'll be assumed your characters off exploring the jungle or something of that nature so that the story can keep going until you get back.




If you want you may play more then one character since the more survivors we have the better.
If i have forgotten something please let me know. I've never set up an RP before.

For this RP i wont be using Fable because poor Fable really doesn't handle wet humid weather very well. Plus lets be honest Fables Tiny size does not lend itself well to surviving a crashing plane. It also gives me a great opportunity to introduce Talon!

description of character build: Talon is generally slender but has some muscle.

job before crash: An artist and writer
Basic personality: Talon has a tendency to be pessimistic, hes a scavenger, and he snaps at people when upset, but tries to help others.



Did they know someone on the plane: Talon was traveling with a woman who was working with him to publish some of his work.
luggage- Did you have something really valuable or useful in your luggage: Talon will be much more comfortable and calm if he can find his sketch book.

Species: Cat
Character build: looks skinny, but is quite built underneath clothing
Description of character: completely yellow, like sand. Has a long scar across forehead from crash
Clothing: wearing a pair of jeans and a nice, green buttoned shirt.
Job before crash: Dentist
Personality: gets very competitive, can be very confrontational at times, very practical and caring to those close to him.

Description of character build: Tall and lean, kinda muscley but not very
Description of character looks (hair, eyes, fur colors): Dark purple base with light grey hands/feet and light pink belly

Job before crash: Languages and psychology student
Basic personality: Quiet and shy but can be talkative and outgoing once they know you, will always protect those closest to them

- My character was headed to Germany where they would work part-time in a dog shelter whilst continuing their studies
- Did not know anyone on the plane
- Had a pair of walkie-talkies in their luggage and a notebook half-filled with short stories and character sketches

description of character build: Very toned and somewhat muscular.
description of character looks (hair, eyes, fur colors): Black hair and equally black fur colour. Has a brown eye and a robotic eye which is blue and can turn red/black. Check his reference for a better look at his... look.
clothing (remember your stuck in them unless you loot other peoples suit cases): A charcoal black Kimono
job before crash: Professional assassin, hitman and mercenary.
basic personality: Cold, callous, uncaring and manipulative.optional/ keep in mind.

luggage- Did you have something really valuable or useful in your luggage? By bribing the airline down on the ground, he managed to get away with having a knife and a katana in his luggage. But that's as far as the usefulness goes. Other things are just clothes and documents.((Will most probably disappear from the crash site instantly and then reappear later))

Basically a white rat with a black mole on his left cheek and wearing a sharp tooth as necklace.

A fine tailored dark grey suit with a purple tie and white shirt. He also always wears black gloves on his hands.
Job before crash:
Swindler, scammer, extorter (not really a job, but it was his occupation ). Any job that would either get him direcly paid, or someone hiring him to do this. Someone who can steal your money or identity, basically someone who could make someone else's life a living hell just so he himself can get by.
Basic personality:
Highly intelligent, but manipulative. Can show kindness, but it could mostly be out of self-preservation or a goal he needs to reach.

   To travel with his new contractor to extort someone to pay the contractor back. (The contractor demanded he would come along with the plane trip.)

   The contractor.

something i should have asked about much sooner-
Do we want to use a few random npc's just to add bulk to our surviving group. These would just be random characters that anyone can really interact with. They'd probably just be background filler.

I will play as some of the NPC if/ when needed but also thought if anyone wanted to take control of a random for whatever reason that would be fine. but i don't mind playing the randoms =)

It was a bit hard to read when with certain words like 'Sie' and 'hir' and such, especially in the narrative form.
Were you trying to show they speak and think German?
If so, it makes sense if they speak or think with a German accent because of their background although I don't see much of that going on in her way of speaking or thinking only in the narrative/descriptive part of the posts. The narrative writing part was the part that was a bit hard for me to read. Not sure how others read it, but that's my experience. Once again: Hope it's ok ^^;

Ventus, I just want to put a note here in the event that you've gotten them confused; My reference for Al and Alka are very different. Alka wears the fancy get up you described, while Al wears a Kimono. If you're aware of this and think the kimono is fancy, that's fine. Just wanted to make sure.

Apologies, I did not know you had two characters Al and Alka. I only saw and read Alka in the reference. (Al maybe even being an abbreviation of Alka, or so I might have thought.)
I'm also dyslectic, so I probably didn't read or read-over it. The signature you have doesn't seem dyslectic friendly. SO I'm not really sure what got me mixed up there ^^;
Plus, either way, knowing it's a kimono, yeah, that's extremely fancy Not even Japanese wear it that often, especially in modern times and it's even considered an art form (called Kitsuke).
Be it you're wearing a suit (what I thought your character was indeed wearing) or a kimono (which is even fancier and more eye-catching than what I originally thought), I'd say your character is looking quite the character
