Sounds... uncomfortably familiar. Kudos to you for standing your ground. Maybe it's an unpopular opinion, but I think the whole blood is thicker than water is kinda bullshit. One shouldn't automatically get all the leeway in the world just because they had some fun with your other parent some time in the past

As for what got me into the fandom was I decided I was tired of being ashamed and wanted to meet people who were more open and honest than me so I can learn from them.  Been a great decision so far.

I always love the drummers, so that's the position I would love to have. I'm only about 1/8th there, I only have drumsticks, just missing the rest of the set

Money is a lot of it, especially since the style of head/suit I would want is probably more expensive than average.


It's also that I'm super duper shy in person. So I worry that if I got one, I'd never get up the nerve to wear it in public. As it is I've never even attended a furry event.
