Hello Josh, it's Issac.
I go through this everyday, I go through a cycle where I do the exact same thing every single day of my life and I can't break the cycle due to not having enough money to buy something, not enough motivation to start a new hobby, ect.
You want to know how I deal with it?
Watch a good show you might like, I watched American dad, family guy and now I'm on the walking dead and I'm loving them all so far, they keep you distracted from your depression, they keep you entertained, and beat of all they give you something to talk about.
Next, spend more time with your pet, and if you don't have one, talk to your parents about getting one.
Pets are great, they are adorable creatures who literally exist as human companions and partners, so make them live up to their nature by bringing them into your room and letting them while watching your favorite show or playing a video game.
Try to have your friends over as much as possible.
I have at least 1 friend over nearly everyday, and having friends to hang out or talk to can help you battle and distract you from depression, and you can also talk with your close friends about your depression issues.
And finally, try to get a therapist.
Of course this would be the most obvious choice, having someone professional help you with your problems, but hey, I've had a coup friends go through depression and group therapy, and they are doing much better. You could also call the suicide hotline if therapy doesn't work.
Please message me if you would like to talk, as I know depression is a bitch, but please, do message me if you need somebody to talk to, I get off of school at around 4 PM (central time). Hope this helps!
