Skye saw the enemy. They were more focused on Blaine and Rey to really notice her. Not much point using her rifles; this was an opportunity to brush up on her other combat skills. She quickly and subtly set up the music player to start after a delay, then seemingly vanished. The firefight would last for a few more seconds, but when the group stopped to reload, a song started blaring from the Humvee:

The black blades reflected, ever so brightly, the sunlight, and Skye immediately went on the offensive. She nailed the first two as they were trying to ram fresh mags into their weapons. The next one was impaled and used as a shield as one of the enemies with an automatic rifle emptied an entire mag trying to get her. She then cast the corpse into one of the others, slashed the rifle out of the man's hands, spun, and slashed out his throat. Two of the raiders had the sense to rush Skye in attempted melee combat, but Skye ran up a wall and kicked off, spinning like a drill bit, landing between them. The split second she had landed was nowhere near enough time for the raiders to react, as in that split second Skye had hit the ground, both her blades flashed out and decapitated both of them. She then reversed her spin and took out another raider's throat. She dashed, rebounding off a wall to avoid semiautomatic fire, landing behind the one firing to impale him with both blades, one after the other, before she violently removed both and took off the man's head. By the time it occurred to the survivors that Skye was too close for guns, she was already rushing into them.
Trying to fight Skye in melee combat was like trying to grapple with a shadow; she was a blur. She bent her body every which way so gracefully, avoiding one attack after the other while cutting her opponents to ribbons. Between that and how she moved her blades in such graceful, yet nearly impossible to track, arcs and swings, it almost seemed as though Skye was blade-dancing. But, dance or no, the raiders couldn't touch her. She leapt, kicked, punched, hilt-bashed, rebounded off walls and swung on light poles, all while swinging her blades in such form that left her enemies dead in seconds. The final enemy had a hand-made sword, and Skye seemingly enjoyed the challenge. The two seemingly dueled, before Skye sheathed one of her blades before leaping over the raider as she put a slash over his eye; he howled in anguish, exposing his back to her; when she landed, she had her back to his. She kicked back, her katana held reverse-gripped, and her back collided with his as her blade impaled him. She reached over, snatched the raider's blade out of his hand, then whirled around, sheared the man in half, then drove his own blade through his heart. There was no scream. She made no smug or adrenaline-induced comment. She simply twirled the katana and sheathed it in a swift, deft motion. She then went to retrieve her cloak, throwing it back over her shoulders as she headed toward the Humvee. When the dust settled, there would be nearly a dozen bodies strewn about in various states of dismemberment. Skye would simply get into the passenger seat of the Humvee and remain there, breathing heavily, but seemingly not out of breath.
