Looks down towards the shadow as well, cannot tell what it is
"what could it be?"
I rub my eyes to take a better look

" EeeEee, what is it?! " ? asked while Firox was looking, when Firox looks they see a beaten up fainted Zorua, with scratches on belly, must have been in a battle with another, the rain outside is still dripping down

[Firox]

"awww, poor fox, it must have been such a rough battle, those scratches look bad, lets take it inside to heal and comfort"
I reach out into the rain and gently pick up trying to be gentle with the scratches
"bring it over" as Espy starts getting necessary items from the medicine backpack

? shivers as they get wet in rain, tries to stand under Firox's belly while walking " brr, wh.. wh..at ..w .a.s. it? "

Spoiler for healing part:

Espy starts off by looking at the pattern of the scratches, some superficial two look kind of deep, one still slightly oozing a few trickles of blood, slightly staining the fur


Espy starts off by applying a bit of pressure on the scratch that is still bleeding a little. Once that is done she inspects them, and pats dry with a cloth
Once dried of blood, taps the scratches with another damp cloth to remove any clumps and matted fur.


Once Espy can see the scratches clearly, she begins to add oinment like neosporin to help the scratches heal, and applies a bandaid all around wounds, and two more lighter bandaids around the Zorua to keep them from falling off - she makes sure they are tight enough so they don't fall off while playing or moving, but loose enough so it doesn't cut off circulation.


Once done she uses the rain to wash off her paws from the blood and makes sure that Zorua is cozy

 

"awww, it looks like a smaller fox, about your size ?, maybe a Zorua"
Lillies looks over at Espy, "how is it?"
the curious kits try to get a better look at it
Mienfoo in the meantime gets a cookie from my backpack and keeps it ready "will it be alright?"


Espy looks at all of us and smiles "it will be fine with just some rest"


I warm up the fur to to dry off ?, but in the process the fur becomes puffy

Leafy goes back out into the rain "enjoying the rain Umbree?" it asks before going into the garden to check the soil

The Zorua lies still on the place she was send down while ? looks over  " who is thatz? "  they ask while gently shaking from being dried and getting super puffy from drying fur. " They looks funny "

"? its a Zorua, a foxy similar to you, similar size"
Lillie smiles "you did good Espy"
Espy packs up her items "rain slowed down, shall we keep going? I'll carry Zorua for now"

? tilts there head " A zorua? they looks a little funny "  ? pokes their little fluffy head puff " What's that on their headz? "  they ask curiously while walking along, the Zorua is still quiet and fainted from that battle but wounds are healing a little, outside the clouds start to clear and the rain starts going away.

Umbre just watches Leafy

"? you can ask the Zorua when it wakes, that's its head tuft similar to mine, similar fur to your mane, I'm sure it will in a while, wonders what it likes to eat, I has berries and apples, and oranges"


Lillie leads us through a path in the mountains where one side is kind of sharp and steep but has really beautiful views of the forest, and not too far is the view of the town where ? and I went earlier, looks very small from the high mountain
"that view is so amazing and pretty"
Espy is amazed at the view
The big lake near the town looks even smaller than the town, at least from where we are in the mountain

Leafy by accident while planting other berries, accidentally bumps into an orange tree, causing a couple of oranges to land on her head and back as she gives off a short surprised yelp, one of them rolled and stopped just to the left of Umbree

The Zorua moves around a little now but isn't quite awake yet, ears twitching. While ? looks down and smiles " Firox, lookz! "  ? starts trotting off towards the town thinking we are going there  " we is almost there "   soon outside the clouds clear and it starts to get sunny and a bit hot

Umbre looks over " You okay? " he ask as he picks up a orange and starts to eat it

[Firox]

I just smile
"wait up we aren't going into the town"
Espy brings ? back with psychic "nuu want you getting lost out there, we would feel bad about it, we are going a different direction"
"Espy is right, if you take a look, it's a very dangerous drop"
Looking down the path where ? was going looks like a steep drop, lots of other boulders sticking out at times, what looks like bushes filled with thorns, sun shadow hides other dangers not visible
"The path we are going is slightly safer"
One of the kits asks ? "you been to the town? how is it?"


not far in out path a familiar shadow is visible
"could that be?" I looks carefully

Leafy rubs back side for a minute
"I'm fine, just a small ache that should go away"
keeps moving the soil around, checking out the trees to see how the fruits and berries are growing
"just getting an early start on the fruit and veggies so we have enough for the winter, not just for us but for any other guest that come visit us"
Not visible to Leafy, but visible to Umbree, a small splinter on her middle back fur from the tree

? smiles and nods " yes is was very fun and interesting the . . . "  gets up off as Firox looks a head at the shadow that causes Firox to look " what is it?! " ? ask while crouching down a little, the Zorua is still down but moving tiny bit more.

Umbre nods and keeps eating orange, missing the splinter on middle " That's good to hear "

[Firox]

"Sounds fun, i want to go to town one day" peeks over at the shadow
Espy and Lillie also wait and wonder
Flowers and Iris (the Emolga) are behind us not knowing

I slowly approach, once Shadow gets clearer, I recognize it.
Flarey tail starts to wag as I call to her
"Mariah, how ya doing, its been a while"

As it comes to us picks up ? "Hey Firox and ? I'm here visiting a friend of mine, so good to bump into you" passes Vee a cookie

"Us, we are taking a lost Mienfoo back home, you already know ?, this Espeon is Evita, we call her Espy for short, the Alolan Ninetales is Lillie she helping us get through the mountain, the two kits are Lillies. Espy and Lillie, this here is Mariah, a friendly Arcanine ? and I met in town. Cutious to know where your pups are at?"
"Nice to meet everyone, my Stoutland cousin looking out for them"

Espy making sure the Zorua doesn't fall off, "nice to meet you Mariah"

After a few minutes, the splinter starting to itch, Keafy can't reach
"Umbree, getting a bit itchy in my back, can ya give it a wuick look"

? smiles and waves " hewwo!! " they starts happily munching on the cookie while listening to all talk around them, meanwhile after a bit more of walking the Zorua slowly opens her eyes then suddenly lets out a little " eee "  and thinks it's it attackers carrying it so it quickly starts biting who ever is carrying them, sinking teeth in and scratching as well while ? turns to see the noise

Umbre takes a look and sees it " Hey you should do see Sylvee, you have a splinter "

[Firox]

"Eeepz" Espy suddenly lets out a surprised yelp
Mariah, Lillie, and myself turn to look, and I gently as possible pick up Zorua
"calm down, take it easy there Zorua, we are here to help you, no need to worry - what might your name be?"
speaking in a soothing voice, trying to keep it calmed
Mean while Lillie and Mariah just making sure that Espy doesn't have scratches

starts going back inside trying to not do anything to turn and bite it
