Kai opened the door, but then thought for a moment, grabbing Tyler's jacket and putting it on. In case he forgot it. Stepping out she shut the door and joined Tyler.

[Blaiiine]

"It's a nice day out." Tyler commented, his free hand stuffed in his jeans pocket. A grocery store could be seen down the road.


"So, where to first?" He asked, draping an arm over her shoulder. He looked at her while combing his paw through his ever growing beard.

"The grocery store I guess. Better go through the perishables before the canned food." She said, reaching her hand up and holding Tyler's hand that was over her shoulder.

[Blaiiine]

Tyler smiled and squeezed her hand, "Grocery store, it is."


The further they got down the road, the more deserted the town appeared. There were cars but no signs of movement, undead or alive.


They reached the grocery store entrance, generic in appearance with "Sale!" signs and displays. Most of the quick spoiling foods were gone but the shelves weren't barren by any means.


"Should I grab a cart, dear?" Tyler asked jokingly, looking down at Kai.

She laughed quietly. "Please do," She scanned over some of the shelves, still in Tyler's embrace.

Tyler used his free hand to grab a hold of a loose shopping cart, pushing it along with them.


"This is...this is nice." Tyler said, blushing underneath his brown and black fur. "And I'm glad I met you.." He added, nuzzling Kai's cheek.

She smiled, blushing slightly under a thin layer of cream fur. She sighed, "I wish this would've been in less... Life threatening times." She suddenly smiled. "But. We must make the most of it regardless."

[Blaiiine]

"I know I am," Tyler said, smiling as he scanned the shelves and grabbed cans.

"At least we don't have to pay." She said smiling, grabbing cans and putting them into the cart.

[Blaiiine]

A few aisles away, cans could be heard crashing to the floor. Followed by a raspy growl and slow footsteps.


Tyler knelt down, grabbing the pistol out of his boot. "Leave the cart.." He whispered as he took her hand and quietly moved to the end of the aisle.

Her knife was immediately in her free hand. Her ears twitching.

[Blaiiine]

Tyler stopped at the aisle where the noise originated from, crouching down behind the end cap shelves. 


As he turned to look around the corner, the walker was beaten down by a leopard in black. The male's face was covered by a mask, and he disappeared as soon as he appeared.


"What the hell?" Tyler whispered as the sound of car doors slamming and tires squealing could be heard outside. He took off after the sounds, seeing a sports car take off from outside the store.

"Looks like our neighbors..." She said, groaning. "I guess we're gonna have to get as much as possible to avoid them."

[Blaiiine]

"Good thing I brought this along," Tyler replied, taking his empty backpack off. He loaded a few nearby cans into it and put it back on, wincing with the strain it put on his shoulder.


"Let's get back to the cart and finish loading the bag. Then we can get back to the truck.." Tyler said, unslinging the assault rifle.

"Sure." Kai went back to the cart and continued grabbing all the cans possible.
