"Hi," Kai replied before turning to the stranger. "So I'm guessing he complied?" The stranger raised an eyebrow, "Complied?"

[Blaiiine]

"Yeah, complied. Y'know, the two options." Tyler answered, sitting down in the steel folding chair. He kept his knife close in hand, watching the arctic fox.

The stranger snorted, "Less of comply. That's just a choice." Kai shook her head, "Not a choice. That was a "Yes or No" question. No meaning we would drop all further interaction. Including untying you."


The stranger shivered slightly. The constant calm and collected demeanor was almost frightening. He at least expected some kind of sharp anger towards him. But nothing.


Kai sighed, "So, what did my sister do to you?" She asked.


The stranger replied by lifting his hands, showing the missing index fingers.


Kai shook her head, "Tsk."

Tyler sat quietly by, calmly staring at the prisoner as they talked. He lit a cigarette and returned to the task of nail cleaning, still keeping an ear out. 


Blaine hobbled inside the house, tossing a black duffel bag down as he shut the door behind himself. Taking a moment to test his leg, he walked back into the kitchen to find a drink.

Holly had beaten Blaine to the fridge, and was sitting there with one in hand when he entered the kitchen. She waved before taking a long sip.


Kai went off mumbling to herself as she paced, somewhere between frustration and calculation. Her brows furrowed slightly as she paced and mumbled.

"Everything okay?" Tyler asked, still focusing on his nails and keeping the blade in control.


Blaine waved back, wincing as he knelt down to get a drink. Standing back up with a groan, the bear snapped the top off and chugged half of the drink which left him gasping for air.

Kai nodded as she paced before stopping. "Well he's almost useless without his index fingers..."


"Ouch" Said the stranger.


"Oh deal with it." Retorted Kai, she turned to face Tyler, looking even more tired, the circles under her eyes deep. She looked worse than previously noticed, she blinked hard before sighing. "We could still use him though..." She trailed off, losing herself in thought once more.


Holly watched, "Don't drown yourself there, bud." She said before taking a sip of her own.

Tyler nodded, putting the knife away. He stood up and walked over to Kai, cupping his pal on his face. "What do you want to do? Just give me the word." He said softly, sighing at her condition.


Blaine mumbled in response, hobbling over to an empty chair. He groaned, placing a weary hand over the bandages on his leg. "This was so not worth the payoff.." He sighed.

Holly snorted, "Your telling me? But it may or may not have been worth the payoff. We might bee in worse danger if they were still not afraid of us." She took a long sip and shrugged. "Who knows."


Kai put a hand on his and pulled it down to her other, shot arm. "All I need you to do is cut him out of his ropes and I'll take care of the rest. Okay?" She asked,


The stranger laughed, "You lovebirds done yet?" He asked, fully ready for another good punch.


Kai didn't even bother gracing the stranger with a reply or a response.

"You get one. Another one and I'll drown you in the river for fun." Tyler said, snapping his head to face the prisoner. Slowly turning back to face Kai, he nodded in understanding.


Stepping over to the prisoner, the dog pulled the knife back out from its' scabbard and roughly cut the ropes off. He stood back up and backed away, still keeping himself somewhat between the two.


"That's why I said we should have left." Blaine replied, taking a drink as well. "Once those slavers show up for their next shipment and find a town of undead, they'll be so pissed they'll be fit to tie." He added.

Holly nodded before slumping over on the table and sighing. "I got no idea man. None at all." She said.


Kai nodded, before speaking, "Are you skilled in anything, that doesn't require index fingers, that is."


The stranger laughed, "I can probably still pull a trigger." He shrugged, "I can wire things up and am alright at field assessments and medical support."


Kai nodded again and put her hand on her hip. "Y'know we could probably make use of the wiring..."

[Blaiiine]

"You seem...too squeamish to do medical work." Tyler said to the fox before turning back to Kai. "True because I don't know a damn thing about wiring unless it's hooked up to an explosive." He continued, returning his glare to the prisoner.

"I'm not a friggin' surgeon!" The stranger retorted.


Kai shrugged, "I'm decent enough in wiring. I studied robotic engineering after all." She looked to the stranger down her nose, the stranger squirmed. She was gazing quite intensely down at him. "You might be next to useless after all."

[Blaiiine]

"To have survived this long, you'd have to something other than how to clean scrapes and shoot a gun." Tyler said, givjng the stranger an almost inquisitive look as he stood by the glaring fennec.

He laughs, "Of course, of course. But not much other than hand to hand combat. It isn't very hard when most of your opponents can't coordinate well. And, military training. Somewhere in there we get taught a few things."


Kai nodded and rolled her head on her shoulders, causing a few subtle pops.
