Kat followed Daisy's gaze to the book, then looked back up with a sheepish smile, "I've read it before actually... But it's an old favourite of mine." Kat shrugged, she looked a little embarrassed at this sentimentality but picked up the book and held it out for Daisy to look at more closely. "It's the first in a fantasy series I read when I was younger, but it's still really good... 'The Old Kingdom' series, it's all about a world across the wall from our mundane one, with magic and necromancers and restless dead..." she stopped suddenly and gave Daisy a flustered apologetic grin, "Sorry, I can get a bit carried away talking about these things..."

Foxi grinned, taking the paper. "Thanks!" The catfox went over to a table and sat down with her tail curled around her waist so it didn't get it the way, waiting for her cocoa.

Tim returned with a slightly larger than aversge cup of cocoa for Foxi.
"Hey pal! Im not sure if ive seen you here befoore.. you do appeae to be familiar, mnames Tim. The taller all white one ovee therhe is Marc. Hes my copy."

Foxi happily took the cocoa. "Nice to meet you! My name's Foxi! To be honest, you look pretty familiar too."

"Well.. how may I help you today, miss Foxi.. I like the name."

Daisy listened with perked ears, looking between the book and Kat's face. "I don't mind," she said, taking a seat across from the lynx. "I, er.... I love that kind of stuff..."

Kat put the book down in her lap and bit her lip. 'Yup, just geek out in front of her and look like a big doofus, well done Kat...' she thought to herself, cheeks burning. But when Daisy sat down the lynx's ears slowly perked back up. "O-oh, really? Well it's nice to meet someone who also loves this kind of thing..." she mumbled and smiled at the wolfgirl as she put the book back onto the table. Kat sipped her hot chocolate, chatting a little with Daisy about the story, discussing it's strong female main protagonist and the author's interesting take on magic and the land of the dead...

"Thanks!" Foxi replied with a purr, tail swishing happily. "I like yours, too. I've always liked that name."

Daisy nodded when appropriate, conversing right back, unafraid to ask questions. However, she was still blushing a little bit. Someone else who loves this kind of stuff! What are the odds?

Kat smiled happily as she listened to Daisy, the more they chatted the more she realised she didn't feel at all awkward or shy around this wolfgirl, it felt like she had been friends with Daisy for ages - despite having only just met. "Yeah I love a good fantasy movie too... Oh! Do you have any favourites?" Kat asked as she finished her drink in a few big gulps, grinning sheepishly as she glanced up at Daisy with frothy-chocolate on her whiskers and muzzle.

Kat smiled happily as she listened to Daisy, the more they chatted the more she realised she didn't feel at all awkward or shy around this wolfgirl, it felt like she had been friends with Daisy for ages - despite having only just met. "Yeah I love a good fantasy movie too... Oh! Do you have any favourites?" Kat asked as she finished her drink in a few big gulps, grinning sheepishly as she glanced up at Daisy with frothy-chocolate on her whiskers and muzzle.

Daisy nods, but before she can answer, she notices the chocolate on Kat's face and giggles a little, blushing. "Well... um... movies or books?" she said grinning shyly.

"Oh, uhh. Whichever you prefer... Or both? " Kat replied with a bemused grin as she noticed Daisy giggling, the wolfgirl's already pink cheeks blushing even more. Kat cocked one ear curiously and leaned back in her seat, glancing around sheepishly to see what Daisy thought was so funny, and then saw her reflection in the window. Oops... Well, I guess a lynx with her whiskers covered in hot chocolate is a pretty funny sight! Kat couldn't help but chuckle as well and shook her head bashfully, blushing as she licked away the chocolate and wiped her whiskers with a napkin.

Marc tended to his stuff.


Tim sst down by foxy and intended to have conversation, if she minded it.

Daisy rubbed the back of her head, biting her lip slightly. "Well.... To be honest, while movies can be pretty good, I rather enjoy reading," she says, swishing her tail. "It's like.... I remember the story more clearly when I read it.... You know?" The wolf grins shyly. "Also, they can do a lot more in books to a degree."
