As the Mantis approaches them, its head drifts from side to side, as it sniffs around, clicking its mandibles together, as if it's relying on echolocation to aid in its sight.
Seeing how he's taken the front, the Mantis begins to approach Leo, who like everyone else, is now standing as still as possible, with his back against the wall.
With his rifle's posture, it covers his heart, which the Mantis's bladed limbs begin to slowly poke around for.
Seeing how there's no heartbeat, but rather, the coldness of the gun, it snarls, before screeching loudly, its mandibles opening widely, and its numerous tiny, yet sharp, teeth just six inches away from his face.
Then, it turns its head, and begins to approach the next nearest soldier.
With its back turned, Leo quickly, yet carefully, tosses the second bullet at the intersection again.
The Mantis turns towards the sudden noise's source, and hisses again, before rushing over to the intersection in a disturbingly fast speed, before slicing around the open area. Its eyes begin to drift around yet again, before it finally turns left, and starts to stalk around in that particular area.
Leo carefully motions for them to wait for a bit, before the sound of the creature goes more silent. Finally, he begins to slowly tiptoe towards the intersection, mindfully walking on the tips of his toes so as to not make a sound.
Taking a deep breath, he slips a mirror out from his left pocket, and tilts it slightly, while his NV Goggles help him see the reflections on the screen... the Mantis is still looking around in the left room, but with its back turned towards the intersection, now.
He finally motions for the group to slowly get closer.
