Am I a furry?

Hello there!
I am female,14yo
I always liked to draw-and with age of 10 i started to draw anime and manga charackters.
A few months ago i met a person who draws furries.
I didn't know much,i just saw some people drawing furries.
I liked the way furrys look like-so i started to draw them too,without knowing anything about the furry fandom.
Many people have asked me if i am a furry...but i didn't know what they mean.
Now i know.
Well i like the way cartoon animals look like...and i really like having my own furry charackters.
But does this make me a furry?
I am not really into that thing-being a furry.
I don't wear a costume. I don't want to look like one,and i do not like furrys in a sexual way.. I only draw them. Is this anyway making me a furry? I am not sure. Some people say if you like furries in anyway then you are one and others say if you want to be one you are one...
I just wanted to ask you guys what you think about this? What is your opinion?

I am not saying that being a  furry is a bad thing! I think it's cool if someone is one or dresses like one,but i don't want to be a furry.

Just make what you like! You don't have to join in with the fandom just cause you like the art.

There is no requirements of being a furry. Really. Drawing animal characters might or might not make you a furry. There are plenty of people who draw anthromorphic animals who do not identify as furries.


Choose your own identity! You are or you aren't, regardless, we love you.

Gotta agree with everyone. You aren't a furry, unless you want to be one. (That being said, if drawing a furry makes a person a furry. The amount of furries out there.) XDDD

You decide whether you want to associate with furries or not, it's just a hobby after all, it's not like a life changing decision

if you want to be a furry, you can be a furry, it doesn't need to be a sexual interest, it can be any interest even an interest in drawing
