[Pyrus's eyes light up]

"Well I have this dusty ok tome, but potion making is a bit of an art, best learnt with a teacher"

"How much for the tome?"

[Pyrus]

"Depends, silver, gold, gems, cash, card, or favor?"
[Pyrus pours a black powder from the mortar onto the counter and takes out a plain white credit card shaped piece of metal and moved it into a line about six Inches long]

"What favor would it be?"

[Pyrus]

"Well... I need more elemental sulfer, raw gallium, mercury. And if you bring me one pound, of any, the tome is yours"

Willa looks at Pyrus. "Master, what now?"

*Pretty soon the hybrid ran back in with a sack*

[Pyrus looks to willa] well we mix 75% saltpeter, 15%charcoal, and 10% sulfur and grind into a fine powder as I did so.

[Pyrus pulls out a match and lights it with his thumb claw]
