(I'm jumping in without the whole registering as a student thing. xD Hope that's fine.)
The halls we're quiet as they usually were between classes, sept for a few footsteps now and then from teachers passing by. It was generally hard for Sugar to go unnoticed as she skipped her daily classes. Being a furry in a mostly human school was difficult, especially since she was small, which therefore made her easy to pick on and push around. She spent most of her time huddled in her locker sleeping. It was dark, just her size, and even came equipped with a bar in which she'd hang upside down from to sleep.
Sugar peered out into the hallway from the grate on the locker door. Hearing footsteps, she assumed it was just another teacher checking for roaming students or making their way to the lounge. Regardless, she attempted to hide the glow of her glowstick beneath the folds of her armwing. As the footsteps drew closer, she closed her eyes semi-tightly, waiting for whoever it was to pass. In an instant, an involuntary twitch of her paw fingers made the glowstick slip. Her eyes popped open, watching in what seemed like slow-motion as the glowstick tumbled to the locker floor, making a loud 'clunk' sound as it hit. The batfox cringed, cursing her paw in a whisper as the footsteps stopped right outside her locker door. She peeked through the holes-- being upside down she could only see the sneakers of which she assumed to belong to a human.
Seconds passed, each one being even more intense than the last. She kept her eyes glued to the shoes in front of her. Waiting for some sort of movement, only hoping they would continue down the hallway and leave her undisturbed. Then in an instant, the locker door began to rattle a bit before swinging wide open to reveal her discoverer- A rather large human boy with a face not even a fleshy mother could love.. plastered with acne and a grin that made her fur stand on end. "Oh hey look! I found a furfreak." He snickered, his voice sounding as greasy as his hair appeared. Sugar growled deep within her throat at the human intruder. "Leave me the hell alone!" She barked. The boy seemed amused at what sounded like fear in her voice. "Why don't you come out of there and make me?" He laughed, reaching a grimy hand towards her tail. He clasped his fingers around it tightly and pulled, in a jolt of pain Sugar was yanked from her locker and onto the hallway floor. She winced as her head slammed against the tile, hard enough to rattle her brain and make her dizzy. She whined, rubbing her head with a free paw, while trying to prop herself up with the other. "Gawd.. you're freakier than the usual furfreaks" He said, looking down at her.
