Collars.

I'm just curious as to what kind of collars you guys wear if you wear one...
Mine's nothing special.. It's a red (dog) collar with a dragon charm on it and a silver buckle.
Do you guys buy collars (made for people), or does it really matter to you? To me it doesn't.
xD
I think it might be a little strange, but that's why I'm asking.
Discuss anything to do with collars!

(I think it doesn't matter to me because the kind specially made for people are way more expensive.)

I have Abby's (my old dog who we put down last year) collar that I sometimes wear to bed, but it makes my neck break out in red and hives so I don't do it much.

I have a couple different ones, though only one I usually wear. It belonged to my cat who passed away a year or so ago. It's black (nylon?) material and has a chain with a clear plastic heart on it.

Though the inner layer is another color.
It's over an inch tall around 1&1/2.
Two rows of solid steel spikes. 24 in all and sharp.
Two D-rings.
It was custom made from http://www.ldsleather.com/ .

The one I have is simple. The only way you could tell it's an animal collar is if you looked at the buckle. There are three pawprints that are embossed in it... I've had it for a while, but I'm just getting to where I can wear it out and not care. It's funny, I've come up with some pretty good remarks to those who like to make fun of me for it.

For example, at my high school, our mascot is a bulldog.. And though I HATE school pride I can get somebody to shut up by replying with "You can't find bulldog pride like this."

Another friend of mine aggrivated me about it. Though, she actually stole the bell off her her cat's collar and she wears it. I told her she had no room to talk and that I at least didn't steal mine from my animal.

I don't see why you get negative attention for wearing a collar. Mine's no different than a person collar.

They're probably just jealous because it looks good on you.  ;)

I want a kitty collar. ._. With 'sugar' engraved on a charm of some sort..
I might buy one online sometime..

For now my favorite (Barely ever take it off)
is more of a choker I made.. my mom got me the scull charm,
and I attached it to some pre-made choker material with a little loop
I took off one of my belly rings, and I put velcro on the ends. xD

I think that's the only decent picture I have of it.
Please excuse my freakishly upclose features. D:

question: why are collars so important?

They're not really.. just like jewelry or accessories. ^^

They kind of say who you are a little.. but they're still just accessories.
I want a collar because it'll be personalized and I just like how they look
and it kinda makes me feel a little feral if that makes sense. x3

Some people get personalized ones for the one they love,
because it gives a sense of belonging to someone.. not
as a pet.. but you know.. the whole fluffy lovey stuff.

It's just a better choice for someone who really likes animals,
instead of an engraved watch or locket or something.
