Coalition Operations II: Escape from New Colorado

While Emilá had calmed Mesmerin down enough, Sora put the safety back on her pistols before she went to get her armor back on, picking up the pack again before she reattached the pistols to her armor. "I'll stay in my armor this time. You can have your massages and what-not." she grumbled as she stepped out the door, sitting outside of it but remaining within earshot if something were to happen.

“T’ain’t no honor in shootin’ an unarmed man,” Jayce called back as he picked himself up. “Put the gun down and I’ll come out.” He had no intention of being shot, but still wanted to get things cleared up. Obviously he had done something wrong, but he wasn’t sure what.

"isn't honorable to sneak up on a lady either.." Rae grumbled back lowering her weapon. "Why are you following us?"

When Emila leaned in, Mesmerin put his snout next to her ear and whispered, "The Force is not always clear, but it never lies; those things are here. Where here they are, I cannot say, but I am certain of it. And there is something else; in my vision, I saw a man, a creature I had not seen before - and it is he that would get us off--"

Mesmerin was cut off by the nearby TV. "Breaking news for New Colorado, all travel to and from New Colorado has been suspended in the wake of a ship crashing there. Sources believe that the vessel was a Corporate Cargo Ship from the Weyland-Yutani Corporation, and was carrying, quote, 'Sensitive Cargo'. Weyland-Yutani has yet to tell us what that cargo is and they have suspended all travel, in order to keep their cargo from getting off-world before they can recover it..."

Mesmerin audibly growled. "This is too coincidental..."

*** Woodland area ***

Eddie also had a weapon drawn, but when he saw who it was, lowered his weapon. "You shouldn't sneak up on people like that," he said. "Especially armed people."

[Rayleonarde]

Jayce stepped out from around a tree with his paws up by his head. "How'm I supposed to know you're armed? I had to toss my stuff 'fore I got past the landing bay." He approached slowly, trying to judge the situation.

"I'm wearing military grade armor, is your vision that bad?" Rae asked, putting her rifle back onto her back.

[Romulan_Furry]

Eddie holstered his weapon. "Well, whoever you are, maybe you can help us - we're looking for someone out here," Eddie said. "Police officer. Maybe you've seen anyone in uniform out here?"

[Mikala]

“Welp. No point in waiting. Let’s find that man. But first... we need to make a clean escape. There are guards around every exit. They won’t let me just leave.” She sighs. “I’ll summon the team!” She pulls out her compad and presses a button. Mesmerin, Rae, and M would all get an emergency summons on their compads with a secure, encrypted location code for Emilá’s location. “We need to be smart.”

[Romulan_Furry]

"Did you not hear me?" Mesmerin said quietly. "The man I saw was a creature I had not seen before. However... I suspect we won't have to look for him. Given what he said in the vision... I sense he'll come to us. All we need to do... is survive." He looked around, then whispered in Emila's ear, "But if you want to slip away from your entourage without them realizing you've left... follow me."

[Mikala]

“Well, maybe we should rendezvous with our allies in the forest. A big city is never a good place to be in an emergency like this.” She murmurs. “Or we could capitalize on being in the know by getting supplies before everyone panics? I doubt most people will view the temporary hold on interstellar flights as an immediate threat to themselves.”

[Romulan_Furry]

"That's right," Mesmerin told Emila quietly. "But, as much as I hate to do it, we still need to ditch your babysitter squad. Are you familiar with PCDs?"

[Mikala]

“No, I’m not. Enlighten me.” She listens intently.

[Romulan_Furry]

"Not here," Mesmerin whispered. He looked over and saw a tourist get off an elevator. "Follow me," he told her, and started for the elevator as casually as he could, given the circumstances present earlier. If anything, Emila could play off accompanying Mesmerin to his suite to sleep off the adrenaline he'd had earlier in the aftermath of the Force-Vision.

[Mikala]

Emilá nods and speaks at a normal volume, unlike their terse whispers. “You’re right. You just need rest. I’ll help.” She follows him just as casually.

Mesmerin would lead Emila to the elevator, ensure no one else was in the vicinity, and get on the elevator before anyone else could. He hoped Emila would follow before the doors closed.

Emilá slides in after Mesmerin, the doors sliding closed just slightly too fast for the guard to follow. “What now?”
