"PCD," Mesmerin repeated. "Personal Cloaking Device. Very useful for slipping about unseen, especially at night. These will allow us to get away from that entourage of yours, but if my vision was correct, don't rely on them too heavily; they will not fool the Xenomorphs. They can track us by our pheremones, and regrettably, the PCDs don't conceal those." He looked to Sora. "I don't suppose you'll need one? I keep a few pairs on hand in case I need to help VIPs get to safety, especially in urban environments. And if WY was working with the Cerberus Organization, I never came across mention of it. As I said earlier, I suspect that WY ship that crashed was carrying at least Xenomorph eggs." He paused, waiting for Emila to take or reject the gauntlets. "But unless those things have a queen or empress here, it would be impossible for them to reproduce. The queen produces the eggs that contain... unless..." Mesmerin again paused, apparently something new occurring to him.
*** Sewers ***
K'Tath continued moving in the sewers, tracking the Xenomorph trail. So far, all indications were that they hadn't left this area. There were clear signs that they were still here. So why weren't they rushing him? Either they didn't know he was among them, or they didn't care. Still, K'Tath set to work immediately, setting up laser grids at all access points to the central junction, but not activating them. "Cobalt," he said quietly, "You still reading me?"
