its how Snickerdoodles taste the best

Crunchy, and preferably with Smarties/M&Ms/similar candy baked into them, so I get crunch to go with the crunch.

I like them soft and chewy, and warm if possible. A little crunch on the outside is ok, as long as they're soft inside.

Then again, it does depend some on the type of cookie.

Personally, I've always subscribed to the entirely crunchy cookies, with fresh baked confect cookies being the only exception (very slightly chewy center but otherwise crunchy).
I've had one or two soft-baked cookies in my life, and I can testament that I am not a fan.
