Looking for good MIDI software
« on: September 11, 2019, 12:47:30 AM »
So, I've been using the stone-age cakewalk music creator 2002. I used to use Cakewalk Express, but the notes won't show up on my PC.

What I'm looking for is some good MIDI software with which soundfonts (sf2 files) are compatible. Anybody know of anything cheaper than $100? Music creator is supposedly compatible with soundfonts, but apparently I need to buy a different soundcard.

Any advice would be great.

I know of an audio-creation freeware that's called MULAB (not sure how recently it's been updated though) that could use virtual studio technology instruments (VST's/VSTi's). Maybe this might help?
