Why is this a thing?

I recently posted my old sona for sale, to save funds for moving.
They come with 700 pieces and I'm asking for a decent price.
All I keep hearing is, "Is anyone going to pay that much?" "Such a high price." things like that.
It's very upsetting because I put years into this character and she's worth a lot more.. Makes me think about just not selling her.

People complaining about prices of art and characters is sadly common. Don’t let it discourage you. If they don’t value what you’re offering enough to pay what you’re asking, they don’t have to buy it. Why they feel the need to be jerks about it, I don’t know.
