"I guess tommy here just thought you looked like she did... right boyo?"
Simel readjusted the little kit in his arms.
"She's not mommy?"
THe young boy seemed so confused. Either he couldn't remember what happened that night, or was forcing himself not to.
"Unfortunately, lots of children are going to be lookig for a new mommy, I guess they like you."
Tommy hugged himself closer to his father.
"Daddy, if she isn't mommy than where is she?"
Simel held a tear back, he felt so terrible. He had abandoned his family when he saw the citadel being invaded. He faught to keep from letting his child know this, he did not want to seem like a bad person.
"Mommy ran away, they caught her, but she got away. We'll see her soon, we'll get together soon."
Simel felt errible. That was the first time he haad ever lied to his son or anyone, a terrible saddness welled up inside of him, he faught back the tears.
"Come on," He said with a sob. "We should all get moving."
