"Well, are we going to enter or just stand here to be targets for the gaurds?" Simel stepps into the entry way that Shadow made.

[Arke]

Shadow follows close behind, flexing his claws idly. "Keep an eye out for archers, I would hate to get pinned down."

[Thaddeus Q. Wolfe]

"You aren't the only one, concealment spells?"

[Arke]

"None that Renard cannot counter. At least nothing that would suffice." He peeks through an alley into a street, noting that the buildings seemed somehow darker, and less... less... less something.

[Thaddeus Q. Wolfe]

"Where are all the people?" Simel loks around in shock, normally, even at night the streets would be busy, but no, they were deserted as if a great plague had wiped out the population, or the dragon lord had.

[Arke]

"A good question..." Not even guards seemed to be out, and it seemed as if no torches had been lit at all. "...And perhaps one best left unanswered..."

[Tidus]

Tidus takes up the rear gripping his katanas hilt, he slowly scans the area an uneasy feeling coming over him. "I don't like this...maybe we should find another way in.."

[Thaddeus Q. Wolfe]

"It is too late for that, little brother." Simel mutters several words and holds up a smal orb of light. "If they are out there, they already know we're here. It is best we just make it back to the palace and rid this fine city of its curse once and for all."

[Arke]

Shadow smiles, examining a wall near a guard tower. "These towers are linked to the palace dungeons, are they not?" He began etching the rune that had gotten him through the outer walls, a simple spell to dissolve the mortar.

[Thaddeus Q. Wolfe]

"Yes, but it would be easier to just go straight to the throne room and defeat him before risking ourselves against the gaurds." Simel looks to the lomming pyrimidal structure with is many towers and terraces, atempting to mask the emotion welling in his body at the sight of its pure white marble stained black by the dragons fire. "If they see his head, they will flee. We take out the draon first."

[Arke]

"You're right, but I may be able to conceal us from the guards. Partially, at least. In the shadows we would be all but invisible, and otherwise they would need to look straight at us. Renard would see us for sure, and so would the dragon, but the guards should fall for it."

[Thaddeus Q. Wolfe]

"If there were gaurds they would've captured us by now. I fear it is naught but the dragon and Renard left."

High above the streets, the dragon lord looked from the tower to the small group huddled near a hole in his wall.

[Arke]

Shadow stood and walked out into the street in front of him, gazing at the empty buildings and streets. "Men of the False King, I stand to oppose you! Come now, that I may confront you in as honest a duel as you are capable of!" The silents held for what seemed an eternity before Shadow turned to Tidus and Simel. "It seems you are correct."
