"Wha-?" She managed to start before tripping over the root and rolling along the beach. She finally stopped rolling and laid there, sprawled out on the beach and looking up.

She looked at his extended paw then smirked at him. "And let you have the satisfaction of actually catching me...?" She rolled backwards so that her feet went over her head and she ended up standing on her feet. She gave him a playful look of determination. "Never." She said, turning and running off again.

She chuckled a little as she continued to run, then turned her head to look back at him and her eyes widened to see that he was catching up to her quickly. She turned her head back forward and broke into a full-on sprint down the beach.
