Fyroh grinned. "Of course." he replied. "I'll stay in the lead, but seriously, don't attack anyone, especially not guards, just let me talk to them. At worst, draw your weapons if a threat appears, normally they go." With that, he started leading the group across a street, then turned off onto a larger one. "Market's just ahead. A few shops here and such, nothing of major interest. Don't speak out against Justice around these parts, as most Justice members are around here..."
"Halt!" someone shouted; a man emerged from the shadows, clad in plated armour, holding a spear. Another guard, a furre, came out of the shadows to join him. "What business do you have at night?"
Fyroh looked over the men. "Good evening." he replied. "My friends here, they're new to the city. I'm showing them around where they need to go, as I won't be there to do it tomorrow."
The man nodded. "Hmm... Alright, I suppose that's fair enough... Well, I won't ask you too many questio-"
"Hold it! Have you not noticed he's armed to the teeth?! He could be a rebel against his majesty, the King!!" the other guard practically spat.
The first guard gulped. "I-I suppose... but surely if they were rebels, they would have-"
"You! Extinguish the flame!" the furry guard shouted to Shadow.
Fyroh quickly stepped forwards. "Now, now, don't get hasty, we're just using that as a light for us to see-"
"I'm sorry, but we can't risk it. You know the dangers of the night, surely... Let us see all your weapons, and I'll decide if you can go past or not." the man said
Fyroh looked curiously at the guard. "All my weapons are for self-defence purposes only, I assure you-"
The furry guard aimed his spear at Fyroh. "You heard the man! All your weapons, on the floor, now!"
Fyroh groaned. "Alright, we have no choice, then." With that, he set down his shield and sword, motioning to the rest of them to do the same.
Vlaardi took another sip. "You sure about that? Fair enough." he replied, looking over his shoulder at the barkeeper, making a little signal with his hands. The barkeeper nodded, seemingly understanding it. "Maaaaaaary!!" the barkeeper shouted.
Smirking a little, Vlaardi looked back to Archaic. "Yeah. A meeting with some friends, but I don't think they're coming now. Perhaps one of us got the date or time wrong." In all honesty, Vlaardi didn't know if the meeting was going on or not. He hadn't seen any Justice members go through the inn to the basement, but perhaps they had been there by the time they'd arrived? And how could he cover it up? The meeting, if it was still going on, would head on into the night, and if Archaic wasn't a Justice member, there was no means of inviting him down there, too. Besides, the meetings were never compulsory, and he, being younger than a lot of the members, was often allowed to sit out of them, despite the 'leader' of this section of Justice was particularly fond of Vlaardi, because of Vlaardi's father. "Oh well, it doesn't matter. We haven't seen each other for a while, and maybe that's the way it's going to stay for now." With that, he took another sip of his drink.
Just then, a bright, cheery looking fox furre girl came out of a door, from the kitchen, approaching their table. "Oh, Vlaardi!" she said. "What're you having today?"
Vlaardi smiled. "Hello, Mary- err, do you have any soups or stews?"
Mary nodded. "We have, ermm... Vegetable, uhh... and herb soups, today, I think... and..."
"Any meat stews?" Vlaardi said.
"Umm... Yeah, we can prepare that, but we also have steak and stuff for meals and, yeah." Mary replied, thinking as she spoke.
"Alright, I'll just take a steak and some herbs." Vlaardi replied, trying not to laugh.
"Okay!! And your friend?" she asked.
"He said he wasn't hungry."
"Okay, then, I'll get your order done!!" replied happily, and practically bounced back into the kitchen.
Vlaardi shook his head. "She's a complete airhead. Funny, but not always there, know what I mean? If she served you, you probably were lucky if you got the right order." He took another sip of his drink, before asking, "So what're you doing here, anyway? There's gotta be a reason for you to come to the city in such dark times..."
