I stop for a breif rest before I take off in pursuit once again. I try to contact Saber, but she has a mental block like an 8 in. thick steel plate. "Sonuva...", I say and keep running. "Where could you have gone?", was all I could wonder. I kept passing tree after tree, each one looking the same as the last. I looked up at the sky. "Crud, rain...", I thought. I had to pick up the pace, or else the rain would wash it all away. I could still smell her blood, the blood on the blade that stabbed her. I stopped and took a deep breath. "That way...", I thought as I picked up the trail again.
