Why Noobs on any game?
« on: January 11, 2007, 10:05:50 PM »
im making this post because the fact that people look like they have something on noobs what i mean is they always pick on them which of course those who used to be noobs also have been picked on. now, get this; why do they do to the future new ppl?

it dont make since to pick on a new person in a game and acting like EX: "AH NOOB RUN!!" ya know to be honest i find this all very.....very stupid.  The fact that they know they used to be noobs and when they pick on the new ppl to a game gets me fired up.

So why in heck do this?
Is there any important reason?

Well, i dont respect others who pick on ppl and be mean to them.
i aint got nothing against them so why should anyone else?

So, to be clear on this do you mean noob or newbi?
There's a big difference.

A newbi is just someone who's new and a noob is your basic retard no matter how much experence they have.
Picking on noobs is widely acceptable in most places wether people want to admit it or not.

Newbies, as long as they are polite, I'm willing to help them.

Noobs, just retarded, "omg lyk im soooooo much beta den u at dis game" "Oh is that why you're doing that?"

Noobs are just asking to be picked on, they're horrible to EVERYONE. And really the only way to deal with them is to beat them at their own game.

Owning a noob can be a rewarding experience.
It's always fun to put them in their place then rub thier noses in it.
On the net you can learn things the easy way or the hard way. :boom:

If you're new to something you're  newbie, if you act like a retard no matter how long you've done something you're a noob.

mostly people who make fun of others and calling them noobs are really the real noobs who are trying to look cool and not look like a noob so they are just showing thier true colors.

noob is just another term for geek, or nerd well anyway, they just get jealous and start calling good players in a game a noob.

Taken from Wikipedia.

Quote
Newb vs. noob

Newb and noob may have somewhat different connotations. Newbs are simply newcomers—noob and n00b, on the other hand, generally mean someone who is obnoxious, annoying, or breaks the rules or cannot play effectively; whether they are actual newcomers or not is mostly irrelevant. Therefore, a noob may be someone who has been around for a long time but still engages in behavior that he or she should have learned is unacceptable. Noobs are generally confident in what they are doing, but in reality are annoying others. "Newb" is not necessarily an insulting word, but "noob" usually is. If someone makes an unintelligent comment on a forum or asks a question that even other newbies could answer then it is said that they are making a "noobish" comment or asking a "noobish" question. However, due to the evolution of language, the term noob or 'n00b' is now used both ways and newb is used only infrequently.
