I would guess what you're trying to say is that my art looks more "cartoon-y" and not exactly "professional".
I don't really know how to take that...

No, he's not wearing eye shadow and no he doesn't have anything coming out of his nose. That's just my lame attempt at shading. Heh.

The dark areas do look like shading, not like eye shadow and whatnot. It looks pretty good. If you are going to do shading though, it's good to remember to do the whole thing instead of just a few areas. For example, instead of just being around the eyes and nose, there would also be dark areas around his ears, chin, and scarf.

It's great to try new things, it helps you expand as an artist. ^^

The main difficulty I have when thinking about doing shading is figuring out where to do said shading. lol.

It's amazing how you can see how different artists' styles are when they're in the same picture.
My part looks so crappy compared to Rigor's, but that's to be expected since she's been at her art longer than I've been at mine.

But I still feel like my work is always going to look the way it does.
