Well for myself it started when I was 11 when the thought of humanistic animals entered my mind. A long while later I o.Owas still thinking about them and I soon learnd the name furry as what they were called. All this time I had been brewing up a back story of a so far nameless anamorphic wolf. And that turned into frost . When I make a character I get inside there heads and they be come a part of me so here I am on a great furry forum.

I just recently became a furry a month ago. My mum showed me an article in a magazine about Furrys and in a subconcious part of my brain I knew instantly I was one. I always used to love to play with my friends and be an animal each time we'd play a game. Ever since I saw the article, I kept on thinking about Furrys and a few weeks ago it dawned on me that I have always been one. I was unsure telling my mum because she said that if I became one then she'd disown me

but shes fine with it
I told my friend the other day I was a furry and she says that it actully fits me

well, it is kinda awkward.... i started of with sonic games and my pet cat. eventually i started feeling a conection or bond that goes further than owner and pet. almost like i can tell what he was thinking. that was when my fursona started i guess, but i never really developed the idea. untill a week ago i had no idea what a furry was. i heard the word from some guy on the street asking iif i was a fur cause of the way i acted so i researched it and came upon wikifur.com. it told me what a fur nwas and from that moment i knew it was a fur. lol then i decided to get into the "fandom" and searched furry forums. this is the one i came upon. although i am still working on my fursona. here thats my life story!!!

I've always been one.

I just didn't always know the term. I always thought it was a glitch in my brain or something, until I discovered that there were kindred minds out there.
