How did YOU become furry? =)

Ok... time for my contribution.

i have allways been one, just i didn't know it then. Both my parents worked at disney, so i got alot of backround in disney movies (robin hood, rescuers to name some of my favorites). As i got older, i was drawn to anthro's constantly. Werewolves, Kitsune, Nezumi, you name it. My favorite Magic the Gathering deck when i was younger was entirely mad up of Kitsune and Nezumi. As art skills increased, i focused on Anthros.
Then i found out about the "Furry War" (youtube it. it is really funny), got up in arms, and joined my fellow furries to find that it was not really a big deal. But i guess i stuck.

Well, when I was around 5 I got my first pet, a hamster. Growing attached to there animals, whenever one would pass away, I would get another one. For the past 10 years Ive had a pet. ever since i was in school, my sister would ride horses after school and I would have to follow. Again more animals to be around, I grew sort-of attached to them too, until one day some boys at the stable were playing sonic the hedgehog. Until I was 13 I played sonic the hedgehog. Then, I somewhat grew out of animals all together, then about 2 weeks ago I found out what a furry was, and i thought id give it a whirl. Ever since then Ive been happy!

Yeah, I've tried arguing that before. *Rubs forehead* Kinda slid into it slowly as more and more of my friends some how became furries, either by me not realizing it or otherwise. Didn't help my boyfriend for three years was one. Oh well. I'm happy with what I am and it's not hard to change if I'm ever not.

I've always been a furry, always knew it too. Imagine to my joyful surprise that there was a community out there with similar interests. henceforth I knew where I belonged. I'll never change, not for anyone. to this day I await to discover my mate.

i myself took time to realise i was one. nyyrikkia told me about this place and how she realised her furryness. then i found an animal that suited my personality, the white tiger, yes its plain but i find the white extract in the fur is the purely enjoyable side of me and the happines i spread with people and fuzzies  and the black stripes are the darker side of me but i dont have many stripes   and my life is balanced by the ying and yang of my colours and personalities, and niala, and now you guys...and i thank you kindran you made me happy too I LUV YOU GUYS SO MUCH

I don't know how it really began with me. I guess what started it was normal animals. I've always been great with animals. I had a cat that hated my guts not too long ago, nowadays it loves me. I remember spending much of my time with 7 dogs and 5 cats in my life (Dogs Mister, Buddy, Grizzly, Max, Bear, Zak, and Sonic, Cats Alisha, KC, Sam, Ty, and Sky). Another thing is when I started reading TwoKinds. I loved the story line, the art, the character, and am now an addict to the comic. Since I like wolves so much (my time spent with canines caused this?) and I also like furry art so much, I've started using a wolf furry as my avatar. I started growing fond of the furry culture, and after looking for a furry forum here I am.

I always love animals. My only favorite animal is the canine. I grew up with dogs and hopefully become dog owner one of these days. But what really inspired me to become it was this music video I love: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/466629
The art inspired me to draw anthro and eventually became a furry! The song added more fuel to the fire because it spoke to me. don't ask me about choosing wolves, it has a weird thing to why I choose it.

I have always had a deep love for wild animals, especially Wolves. Plus, house animals, no matter how mean, would always come to me for attention, while others would be barked or hissed at. It's a lot like other stories, just pretending to be an animal when I was longer, then I looked at wolf art all the time, then, I came across the word furry. With that, well....I think you know what happened at first. Yet, I found out the truth about them, and grew close to furries. I realized I was one once I started roleplaying, so it's been a couple months since my true furmenship.
