What exactly is normality? It's hard for a line to be drawn today...
Well, we can talk about normality until the cows come home. But then again, what are cows?
Well, I suppose I got sucked in at a childhood state by Calvin and Hobbes. Been reading the comic since I was 2. I also owned at least 2 pets at any one time. Cat, or dog. But I loved the comic not for it's use of animals (Hobbes is a stuffed tiger, as well as being a living tiger that Calvin, a 6-year-old often has deep conversations, or silly childhood games with.) But simply because it was great. However, it got me into comics, which would lead me here.
Surprisingly, it was not me but my greatest friend that got sucked into Redwall at a young age. 'Furry' literature was never something I got into, save for the Narnia series.
Then, one day, I was posting a blog about friendship and searched online about it, looking for a google image to complement it. And in the end, I stumbled upon a great anology in the form of a comic page, from the comic 'Gene Catlow.' It was a furry anthro comic that's been around for a long time. And I greatly enjoyed it, and found the website itself. I read the archives, and thought it was great. About up until then, I was somewhat anti-furry, and thought it was downright weird, though I understood why people liked it.
It would take about a year or more before I came here, as I read more comics, such as 'Lackadaisy' and recently 'Jack'. All of which led to my inevitable search for a furry forum. About a month ago, I eventually decided on a Squirrel. I drew my avatar as I was registering on the board, then edited it a few times in paint and photoshop to get it to the right size and color levels.
