Hi everyone i'm new. I became a furry after realizing that everything furry was an interest of mine. I have always loved animals but that really took off after I started reading the warriors series. The whole anthropomorphic thing started interesting me just recently.

my husband was admin on a furry board and he brought me there.. i am a furry for almost 5 or 6 years now.. i'm not sure anymore lol! XP

well ever since the begining of 7th grade i have been looking for a hobby so i looked at costuming and saw fursuits and i thought they were cool and i was hooked and i also liked to play sonic and pokemon

How did I become a furry?

Well.. first off, I've always been fond of animals and was rarely ever without a pet cat growing up.
When watching movies or shows when I was little, I would always be more in favor for the ones with animals. (The Rescuers, Rock-a-Doodle, Robin Hood, The Great Mouse Detective, The Lion King, Talespin, Chip n Dale: Rescue Rangers (<3), Quack Pack, Goof Troop, Cats Don't Dance, etc)
I guess my realization of liking such cute creatures came when I first saw Cats Don't Dance. I was 10 at the time and thought of how neat they were.
I never really thought of actually looking into furries until about five years ago when my bf (now fiance) told me that he liked furries. Since then my liking and awareness of furries have grown. I feel if it wasn't for him, I don't think I would have cared for them so much now. 
So, up until a few days ago I never really thought of browsing around for a furry community.. so far.. I'm glad I did. ^_^

edit: .. can't forget Gummi Bears, Darkwing Duck, and Gargoyles ;D

I have to say my friend opened my eyes ive always been more conected , felt more animalistic,but was a closet furry because of csi episode .ive always loved thunder cats ,loonie toons ,duck tails and many more,the art and now  im like nuts for it to really be apart of my life.ive ran on all fours as a teenager .never been kinected to this human body.i have almost always  disliked the human race and  what its become .SO out of the closet  i am.
