How did YOU become furry? =)

Starfox. Specifically, Starfox Adventures. I had gotten to play that game for the first time in late 2012, and I loved it. The game was filled with anthropomorphic animals. I grew obsessed with the Starfox series and started looking it up. One way or another, this led me to the furry fandom, which I had known about for a while and thought was kind of cool. And recently, just a couple of weeks ago, I decided I was a furry. I love furry art. And so here I am.

Welcome, to the fandom, chili1. I think Starfox Adventures had some influence on me as well, when I first played it many years ago. Still never finished it, sadly. I plan on picking it up again at some point, though.

I loved Starfox Assault however, played it for ages.

It's all right. Assault was better than Adventures. Adventures definitely wasn't for everyone.
But now I've gone off topic....

I also read a lot of books with Animals as the main characters, RedWall, Poppy and many more. They just were so amazing, I don't really think I am an animal, I just relate to them. I use to when I was younger but now it is more of just like yay. I am really able to enjoy a character I make. It seems silly but it is true.

I practically lived on Redwall when I was younger! I'm guessing that was a bit of a latent influence, too.

If there's one latent influence for me it was probably the Ratchet and Clank series. I've played every single game in the main storyline, some several times, and of course the main character is an orange fuzzy animal called a lombax. He's kinda cute

For me it was MSN chat. I dissed chat rooms, then finally decided to try one, and started roleplaying as a puppy.  Loved it, and continued rping as animals, or humanoid animals.  This was years before I even knew what a furry was lol.  Even as kids when my frIends/cousins would play house I'd be the house pet, lol

Eh, not really an interesting story for me. I pretty much always thought anthropomorphic characters were cool and as a kid I really wanted to be one. Whenever I played a game that gave me the option to, I would always choose to play as the anthro character. Fox in Smash Bros, Iksar in Champions, Lizardman in Soul Calibur, you get the idea. I don't really remember how I originally found out about the fandom but I was pretty much interested from the start. Took me a while to get into it, but here I am!

Absolutely wonderful movie. Very scary if you see it as a kid. Has a great music score and stunning visuals. So yes I've seen it
