How did YOU become furry? =)

I dunno, I always liked the cruel demonic animal look. When I was in the tenth grade that was all I wanted to be. It was like you wanted something so badly to the point where you would die for it but then you remember: It's impossible :'( I was a huge werewolf fan myself not too long ago. But then I found my self taking a liking to foxes more. But hey, I still love wolves. I still chat on werewolf forums, join WOLF clans on PS3, join groups, etc. Demonic look FTW!

man i was so much like that. I too was almost to the point where I would die to be a werewolf but then I had to face it, its impossible, a fantasy/dream that will never come true. But I guess being a furry will help quench some of the desire to be a werewolf.

How I became a furry was when I was on IMVU, and everyone had these Customs and  I Absolutely LOVED Acts at the time being, so I started being a furry on there. [At age 11 and now 14 ] But I quit it, then I started again [Because of mate Jad'Thor]

I started when i was little i always pretended to be a dog or a wolf, i loved to play with my dog more then anything i connected to animals more then i did other people earlier today() i found this fourm and im still kinda nevrous about telling people im a furry

How Did I become a furry? I still havn't to be honest.

I'm just having a LOT of trouble choosing a fursona, because for me, it needs to be something that no one has so no wolves or foxes or dogs or a feline of sorts...
dangit I might be a penguin just to see what'll happen, but until then a furry I am not.

  yeah same here I was extremely nervous to tell anyone I was a furry but I just couldnt supress it in since it is such an important part of me. Alas I found out that not everyone will agree with your choice, like my sister who freaked out when she found out, but at least they know about your true feelings.

Yeah, I probably won't ever tell my family (because once you tell them something, they never forget) so I only told my friends who I know don't really care.

also, what helped to develope my fursona was i went through some rough stuff awhile ago with my family and i had heavy thoughs of suicide i had it all planned out, but then i though back to my childhood self and i remembered what my childhood was all about, and that was being an animal, i wanted to be a fox more then anything i also had those dreams were i was a fox and i just laid there with my tail covering up my feet. it was nice finally i thought i dont need to kill my self and i soon starting playing video games again anyway a friend told me about the "Y" stuff and it also brought back memories then i found you guys and everything has just gotten alot better

I went through the same thing, lee. Before I found out I was a fur and found this place, I was into all the things people tell you not to get into. At times, I really felt like killing myself and even attempted once. I was able to put all that behind me with the help of my friends. I always wanted to be a wolf. I dreamt about it, thought about it all the time, etc. but somehow, I ended up being a fox .

My furry realisation came about well after any sort of suicide attempts. It's just part of finding myself. A great expedition to last a hundred years.

Minus the suicide... I like the idea of just being free my life. Look cute, get treats and such, sleeping and eating and that, and that's it! Maybe a couple of others, but I feel kinda jealous about pets in the way that they get so much freedon assuming the owner is a good one. But on the other hand, I wouldn't be talking to any of you guys, so I guess the best place to be is inbetween!

Yeah I really liked the idea of being an animal,because they are so free and majestic. I also like the fact that animals are not naturally evil, unlike us humans.
