Thomas sat alone in his compartment, staring out the window.  He focused on his glasses.  Although they weren'r broken, or needed it, he was practicing the Impervius Charm on his glasses.  Thomas flicked his wand at the glasses and said, "Impervius!"  There was a snapping sound, and all the spots on his glasses disappeared.  Thomas put his glasses on and picked up his journal that was laying on the seat in front of him.  He got out a quill and a bottle of disappearing ink.  "Aparecium."  Thomas sighed as he opened the book.  Ink appeared on the pages and he began to write on a new page...

The tall malamute worked his way around the train car looking for someone to mess with, it wasn't his idea to come here, but it had been insisted upon him, well, might as well go with the flow, he did want to learn more about his powers, so far he couldn't really do anything, looking over at a small fur eating a hand full of jelly beans he got an idea, his wand hidden under his exessivly long sleeve he flicked it and muttered something under his breath, suddenly the fur spat out the hand full beans couching and spluttering, the only word he could muster being "UGH! dirty socks!" the malamute quickly scooted away, seemingly having pressing buisness at the back of the car, a smile on his face.

"Accio." Thomas murmured.  The chocolate bar on the seat in front of him levitated to him.  He grabbed it and took a bite.... "Mmm... Caramel..." 

Thomas rested his head against the seat.  "Accio," he said again, his Grade One Spellbook floating toward him.  "Windgardium Leviosa."  Thomas swished and flicked his wand.  The book hovered there as he read it.

uschi the defence against the dark arts teacher set her pack in a cabin and sat down and started re reading the manule for teching this class to the students. she didn't want the students to know everything starting off, but they should know the basics

*as he walked back in the cabin the malamute saw a bear looking through a book, quietly casting a basic illusion spell he made some of the words on the page read a bit differently making the whole page gibberish*

uschi muttered a spell and pointed at the malamute as she finished he turned a ghostly green color, "try it on some one lse, but very nice kid" uschi said smiling at the now green malamute
