The towering wolf carried his four foot fox brother on his right pauldron as they travelled throughout the land. Smiling and laughing, they combined magnificent magic to make the flowers and trees on the side of the road blossom. Over the past eighty miles they have travelled from their temple, they have made better the war torn roads of this area, which helped the plant life and made others happy. Roho grinned and looked to Furaha, "We're here, little Furaha. After we stop by this village, let us take the round-about way and purify the land further."
Furaha hopped down off his shoulder and began skittering quickly to compare with Roho's large, slower strides. Upon reaching the entrance to the town, they began singing a song of life:
Down the beaten path we travel
Through black stone and dusted gravel!
Make the dead trees become alive
And let this land begin to thrive!
For eighty-thousand years have passed us:
To cure this world the priests cast us!
We are just two keepers of the old,
Who make other's lives turn to gold!
Then with a clap they sent a burst of happiness for a mile around, making the land green. Furaha exclaimed, "Not bad, but we could have gone for a few hundred miles!"
Roho coughed and scooped the fox up in one hand, placing him on his shoulder, "Little brother, we can grow tired. If we try too hard, we will die; and then what will happen?"
Furaha rolled his eyes and pawed and Roho's face, "You're such a downer sometimes, big brother!" They both smiled widely as they walked to the inn in the middle of the village. Roho stooped into the inn and greeted all those inside. Furaha darted in and opened his wide eyes staring at the assorted people within, "Roho! Do you see the magic from these people? They're heroes on the road! They are going to help defeat the dark one! I just know it!"
Roho looked at the bunch and waved, "Hello, friends. I am Roho, First Keeper of Life, and this is my brother, Furaha, Second Keeper of Happiness!"
With the last of their reserve of magic, they turned the inside of the inn a golden-brown and the furniture fanciful. Then Roho said, "Assuming you wanted this... Well don't expect any more from us though! We have our..." he coughed into his elbow, "Ugh... Limits. Furaha, why do you insist on making EVERYTHING better? I won't be able to cast a spell for hours!"
The two bickered playfully until their throats hurt, as the group looked on laughing and smiling. Roho sat on a large bench in the corner with Furaha upon his lap. Furaha said, "Hi! You want to introduce yourselves, buddies?" and flicked his tail.
