Tutorials

Got any good art tutorials for drawing or certain editing tricks? Post them here! Feel free to request tutorials as well.

My friend has some really good lineart and coloring tutorials.
coloring tutorial [photoshop] http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/45545697

Lineart tutorial [photoshop] : http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/37679645

Also, i'd like a tutorial on drawing furry heads, because sonic-styled heads really only cut it for chibis. :/

EDIT: I know this should probably go in the tutorials board, but, since this pertains stricty to art tutorials, i think it should stay here. Plus, i don't know where exactly to put it on the Tutorials board. sorry. ^^;

Well if it's heads you want this is how I learned to draw them better. Studied this like 5 years ago, been working on it since then. It's very helpful with heads.

Otherwise the whole tutorial site is quite nice

Open Canvas Tutorial
« Reply #6 on: February 02, 2007, 10:09:59 PM »
Open Canvas is a really awesome program! It's not as powerful as a editing or photomanipulation program as Photoshop but it rocks for actually doing digital paintings!

It won't bog down your computer either like Painter is apt to do.  The program is fairly cheap for what you are getting too, around 75 dollars.

Here are two tutorials on ways to paint with this great program! I hope ya enjoy it!

Tool two: The Graphic Pen: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/25273412

That's a really nice tutorial, if you already know basics. I need something with a bit more steps that really shows you how to something, that's really more just examples. ^^; sorry

This one has plenty that can help. You should learn how to do humans before you try to learn anthro.
After all it's an important part of what anthro is.

It looks like this thread has collected some dust...
BUT does anybody know of a good hand tutorial or methods for study to draw decent hands? I'm not aiming at mastery, just decent, looks-like-a-hand hands. I just can't seem to get the proportions right...
