:D Here's one for the New Year!
The years rush by
Time's slipping away so fast,
No time for remembering the past.
These good times, they never last,
Our fate is sealed, our fortunes cast.

One, two and then a three,
All that we are and ever will be.
Four, five and then a six,
I swear Time leaves us just for kicks...!
Seven, eight, now we've reached nine,
Happy New Year; go out and shine!
The farewell was premature. My definite stay is not definite. The constants are variable. The greeting was too late.

My life, my pain
This is the story of my life,
An existence the Reaper should have took with his scythe...
Have you ever felt a love so great it hurts you?
Have you ever felt so helpless, unsure what to do?
I'm tellin' ya my story, all that I can tell,
Of how everything became a frozen hell.
You better listen up, I'm only gonna say this once ya hear?
Open your heart, open your ears and come near:

When I'm gone, don't feel sad,
I gave up myself to make you glad.
I'm looking down at all you guys,
So just smile and wave back, don't cry.
Just be glad everytime you hear this song,
I'm singing it to you from where I belong.

I loved you more with every passing day,
That still hasn't changed, are you okay?
I worry about you every time I try and sleep,
I threw myself in way too deep...
And I ask you this,
As I wait for Death's cold kiss:
Have you ever loved someone so much it tore you inside?
Made you crazy no matter how much you tried?
You would destroy all tryin' to harm them in a flash,
But what happens when you're their source of pain, and towards you they lash?

When I'm gone, don't feel sad,
I gave up myself to make you glad,
I'm looking down at all you guys,
So just smile and wave back, don't cry.
Just be glad everytime you hear this song,
I'm singing it to you from where I belong.

This ain't ordinary love, that much I know,
A close bond between friends that may never go.
But that love isn't why I'm singing,
It's my love for one who I am missing.
My ceiling must be talking, because I swear I can hear her!
All I hear is "You got one chance to put this right with her."
"Now go out there and do your thing!"
Next thing I know I find myself starting to sing:

When I'm gone, don't feel no pain,
I went away so happiness you could gain.
I'm looking down at you from above,
So just smile and wave back, my love.
Just be glad everytime you hear this song,
I'm singing it to you from where I belong.

5 years have passed, and nothing's changed:
I'm still alone, jobless and in pain.
I'm looking for you every day and night,
Yet I never succeed even as I try with all my might...
It's raining now, it always has been,
Without you the sunshine will never be seen.
I think about you every waking moment,
You're even there in my dreams, filling me with torment!

I'm starting to write to you, did you get my last letter?
I don't where you are, but I hope for the better,
I don't care if I remain unloved,
I don't care if you give me a cold shove.
I just wanna see you again, that's all I ask,
Surely that's not too much of a hard task?
I'm in the city centre, standing raised above,
People suddenly stop and stare as I declare my love:

When I'm gone don't feel no pain,
I gave myself up so you can gain.
I'm looking down at you from above,
So just smile and wave back, my love.
Just be glad everytime you hear this song,
I'm singing it to you from where I belong.

I've lost count of how many years have passed,
All of the good things in my life never last.
I died a long time ago but my heart refuses to let me die,
It still hopes that someday we can look eye to eye.
Unable to live without you, my goddess,
Unable to die until I've cleaned up my mess.
Death's gettin' impatient, he can't wait,
So just spit at me already and seal my fate!
Yeah, why don't you just crush my life again?
That's what you wanted, yeah, back then...
Don't tell me you didn't have this planned out from the start,
You always made a plaything out of what I call my heart!

The planet's dying now piece by piece, they say.
I wanna say that I was sorry for thinking that way:
Yeah, I made my mistakes and blamed you, my love.
Yeah, I sunk to the lowest drugs instead of rise above.
I miss you more as the Earth below crumbles,
All this time I've been falling, it seems I fumbled.
I'm going to sleep here as the world is laid to rest,
If you wanna see me, try and hope for the best.
I'll be waitin' at our old spot, remember it well,
Because you'll be hearin' me singin', loud as a bell:

When I'm gone don't share my shame,
I wasted my life and I'm all to blame.
I'm waiting for you, my free dove,
So just smile and wave back, my eternal love.
Just rejoice as you hear this song,
Soon we'll be together where we belong...

(Finally finished!...I think...)

And now for one that doesn't rhyme! *Le gasp* (Be sure to check every so often as I add to a few poems)

Void of Memories, Sea of Tears
Falling, endlessly falling,
In this bitter sea.
Crying, always crying,
What has happened to me?

I can't remember how this began,
This drowning wasn't part of the plan.
Void of Memories...
Sea of Tears...
How much have I suffered after all these years?
How long have I been drowning in my fears?

I can't remember...anything at all.
This darkness engulfes my mind,
I'm trapped for all of time:
In this numb, eternal void...

I have cried...until I could cry no more.
This anguish just seeps out of me,
I'll bleed alone until I die:
Consumed by feral emotions...

Falling, just helplessly falling,
Swallowed whole by this sea.
Crying, with blood instead of tears,
If only I could flee...

I can't remember how this began,
This drowning wasn't part of the plan.
Void of Memories...
Sea of Tears...
How much have I suffered all these years?
How long have I been drowning in my fears?

The song is finally finished! (I think...)
I'm touched, saddened and slightly disturbed by how my poetry makes you feel Samantha.

Well, since you know me, and the story now, you can consider it a reminder of what can happen. I'll assume.

Overdrive
Three: blood rushing through my veins,
Two: Ready to reach out and attain,
One: A new level beyond our flow...
Iku ze iku ze iku ze, GO!

Can you go go go?
Even if you're against their flow:
Push on and hype yourself past the pain,
Kick things into Overdrive, it's time to gain!

Drei, zwei, eins DIVE,
Take things into Overdrive!
Trois, deux, un RUSH,
Even if they stare and make you blush!

Can you go go go?
Even if you're against their flow:
Push on and hype yourself past the pain,
Kick things into Overdrive, it's time to gain!

Iya-sa iya-sa, HERE WE GO,
Niya-ka niya-ka time to show!
Can you endure this heat?
Dash along to this beat!

Three: The thrill of the pace,
Two: Exhiliration etched into my face,
One: This is how we thrive...
Everyone, shout OVERDRIVE!

(...I have no idea what made me write this crazy poem/song. I can think of many things it could be about, but I'll leave it up to your imagination ^w^)

"Them" Versus "Us"
It's a long path on which we stroll,
Our daily routine takes its toll.
Time just flies on by...
As uniqueness starts to die...!
(Here we go, here we go,
Rebels against the flow!)

All "they" ever do is lie,
All we want is to be free and fly,
They are the ones who let originality die,
We are the ones always aiming high!
(It's "them" against "us",
Stir up a fuss!)

Who are they!?
They are the system in which we're trapped...
They are the ones beyond political kidnaps!
Who are we!?
We are the rebels, without a cause...
We are the ones, rewriting the laws!
("Them" versus "Us" is how this goes,
A fight between the higher-ups and the low)

They build and they conquer like masterminds,
But if we strike together, they'll be in a bind:
It's time to rise up and attack...
...We're taking our lives back!
