to Xion: after I got my xbox fixed. it stopped ringing, but i occasional got the ring that shows you have a heating issue, theres actually a few diff types of rings
to Ruffie: the Red Ring of Death is what your Xbox 360 shows, if it has a hardware problem, heating problem, or something along those lines
if it's hardware you need to send it back, if it's a heating problem, you can fix it yourself

Do you think my in depth explanation of the red ring has helped?

A little, but mine have always been a problem with the motherboard, The solder in Xbox's are crap, making connections come loose. That's another reason for the Ring

Do you think microsoft purposely cheaped out on them?

anyways I kinda like both, but honestly it's the first Rave pic i've seen besides Ruffie's old avatar so i like that one a lot, detail is good and all
