If I look in second hand shops I always give the clothing a thorough look at before buying. Yes, this includes smelling and looking at every bit of it. This especially goes for the shops that smell REALLY bad. Apart from that, it's a good way to get craft resources cheap; again, assuming you can clean it so it's tolerable.

wood floors are awesome and they get warm in the sun so you can sleep on them and still be warm....
