Heh.  :D
I was peeved when I watched the season finale of Whale Wars (see thread) and they got in trouble for protecting the whales....

I just think it's wrong that the people who are KILLING the animals are apparently doing nothing wrong, but the people who are SAVING the animals are breaking the law.

Yea, shows how some people have no value for other life than humans.

My parent's MIGHT know, IDK...

I dunno, but online, she goes by SpiritedFoxxy or whatever, so if she were to hate me for being a furry, then she would probably be a hypocrite.

There's a quote that stuck out when I was watching Meet The Sniper.
"S'long as there's two people left on this planet, someone is gonna want someone dead"

That got me thinking. Generally, human beings can't stand each other, and are always finding more ways to hate each other. It's really common against minority groups. It's the difference between cultures, and the fact that there's more of them than there are of you somehow legitimises it. People focus on the bad things, the finer details, and don't accomodate the bigger picture probably because they don't want to. People are gonna hate each other and take the mickey out of others because, I think, that it proves to themselves that they're superior, that they're right and everyone else is wrong. When was admitting that you were wrong ever a good feeling?
Furries just get it bad because people refuse to look at it from our point of view, because they don't want to be wrong, or that they don't want to face the fact the media is wrong. And it's not just furries, it happens everywhere with anyone a little different from the norm. Homophobia and racism is still about today.
The only time the human race will ever stop hating each other will be when we're united in hate against aliens, or something. And that makes me a little sad; knowing that we have to hate something else to stop hating something.

I haven't told anyone that I'm a furry. But, I know that at least my best mate wouldn't care in the slightest; I figure he'd say something along the lines of "You're still the same guy I was friends with yesterday, this doesn't change anything."
In a way, I don't think I need to tell anyone without being prompted. I want people to know me as "that cool guy you can depend on" first, and "that furry" after. Being a furry is only a small part of everything that makes me the person I am today.

Maybe if furries were the good guys first, and then the furries second, maybe the general opinion of us might change.
Not to say you guys aren't good people, of course. You guys are pretty cool.  :)

People hate others because people hate the new things. People hate games cus they didnt grow up with it being a big part of their lives. People hate minorities because communities grow in a short amount of time and are very visible. If they havent grown up with it, they dont understand it, they dont like it. simple... as... that... although with certain other things, it is passed down by parents and by communities. Either way, my point stands.
"Parents always think kids are wasting their youth, and always have done [so] down through the millennia," says Tom Forsyth of RAD Game Tools. "'That Ug, always holding things. His front paws will develop in funny ways. Why can't he walk on all fours like normal proto-hominids?' And so, whatever the kids spend the most time doing, that's always what parents think is a waste of time, and what is corrupting their lives. It doesn't matter what that is. If all they did was homework, parents would be worrying that their kids aren't becoming well-rounded people. And, in fact, parents do this - enrolling math nerds in karate classes and the like. There is no way to win - parental paranoia ensures that kids are always doing the wrong thing."
