The Lost and The Hopeless

Riku shrugged slightly. Giving off a smile of his own before speaking "you know, you have a brilliant smile, you should do it more often, and I don't know, I guess it's because it's the only real home I have ever known..." Suddenly blinking "My god, I haven't even introduced myself! I'm Riku, lieutenant in the army". He held out a paw.

[Dr. Strange]

Taking it gingerly, she looked away for a second, cheek scales taking on a reddish hue.

Tilting his head, Riku asked "are you okay?" He was still holding her hand "I still don't know your name.." he said, chuckling slightly and smiling.

[Dr. Strange]

"Yes, I'm fine." She replied, coughing a little and looking back at him, her scales turning a bit redder. "You're quite the charmer, Riku. I'm Sahara."

[Chrono Blackwyng]

A guard walks up to Riku and taps his shoulder "Jora has gone missing and we can't find General Rowan either...but I see you're with someone, so the details can wait" then the guard bows to Sahara and leaves...

[Dr. Strange]

She immediately pulls her hand away and tilts her head in acknowledgment. Jora, where are you? There are soldiers looking for you.. Did you disappear on them? She questioned, unsure if he could hear her.

[Chrono Blackwyng]

~No response, and no trace of him can be felt at the Palace or anywhere near it~

Riku smiled "It's not hard to appear charming when you're faced with such a wondrous person. Sahara, I like it" He grinned and slowly let go of her hand. Seeing the soldier come up to him, his smile faded. "Right." Turning to sahara "I'm afraid our time together has been cut short, I can have a guard show you to my room if you'd like. I'm sorry". His ears drooped slightly as he began to turn and walk after the guard.

[Dr. Strange]

Sahar knew how badly things could get, so instead of leaving his side, she stuck close. "I'll follow along, if it's alright with you." She tapped his ears teasingly.

Riku's smile returned and his ears raised up. "Yeah, that's fine. I suppose we'll get something to eat later though". Finally reaching the guard "Okay soldier, tell me the details."

[Dr. Strange]

Sahara waited in silence, still trying to locate Jora with her head. You better get back quick, they're hot after you, scaleface... She ventured, singing a dragon song softly.

[Chrono Blackwyng]

"Our guards saw him floating out of his room, and over the wall, and into the jungle, Rowan went in there earlier, but we can't make any contact with her, at the same time, all the creatures have vanished from sight, theres not a single stray within view...Beyond that, we have no idea whats going on..."

Riku growled in his throat "Okay, get me a squad of 12 men out front, double time, and fortify this palace, they could be gauging up for a strike at the palace. Try and locate Gabatus to inform him of the situation...Move!" He ordered. Turning back to Sahara, he asked "Have you tried locating them?"

[Dr. Strange]

A hiss of frustration escaped her and she furrowed her brow, furthering the distance. Realizing Riku was speaking to her, Sahara shook herself out of her trance and shook her head. "Several times... No answer as of late."

[Chrono Blackwyng]

"We already had scouts sent out to track down Jora and Rowan, and so far, three out of ten of them have come back, and in rather rough shape. But one of them saw a dragon being escorted by two creatures further into the forest, but the scout came under attack and retreated before he could see who the dragon was." the guard said as 12 soldiers appear at the front gate and other guards start building turrets around the base, and snipers set up around the wall-towers.
