"Shailik? Is it..." I approached him, cautiously. As I go closer, I began to make out the textures on his rough skin. Most notably was a long scar traveling down his face, from the height of his skull to the front of his snout, and Shailik noticed that I was looking at the scar without even taking a glance at me. "I gained this little souvenir from a climactic and shameful battle against Isaac Verhasst... do you remember?" I did remember, not as text in a Word Document like it really was, but like a fight scene in a high-budget action movie. "I do remember it, he thought that you would die from your wounds, but you didn't." He briefly showed off a toothy grin, but quickly snapped his expression to a cold grimace, seeing as I attempted to feel the scales on his left hand, "No touching!" he exclaimed as he brushed me off, waving a finger at me with disapproval. "I'm sorry, I was... curious." I felt embarrassed, and blushed as I tried not to make eye-contact with the allosaurian overlord. "I suppose it would only be natural, considering no Humans have seen anything as magnificent as I." Shailik boasted, as he grinned and held his arms out proudly. "'Magnificent?'" I retorted, "I believe the word 'terrible' would be more... fitting to you." Shailik didn't respond to this, and I became worried about what he might do next. "No disrespect, my Lord." I added, silently praying he wouldn't rend my flesh with his claws and teeth. "In that, you would be correct." A heavy sigh of relief left me, "After all, it is better to be feared than revered, right my Lord?" and the phrase 'my Lord' involuntarily slipped into my vocabulary, "Yes..."
