I'm gay and so far pretty much all of my family (Except my dad, but only because I haven't seen him in years.) and my friends know about it. They've all taken it well and have no problems. They make little jokes about it every now and then but only in the playful sense, nothing hurtful hehe.

Well they wouldn't disown me at first, but the immediate next thing would be several visits to church pastor(s), deacons, a church psychologist, and then perhaps if worst came to worst an exorcist. In the end, I would have to change my "immoral and un-natural ways" back to heterosexuality or I be disowned. Yea it sure isn't my way of life around here and so long as I stay here I will never be free, this is the reason why I don't want to see them ever again after I can finally move east.

Well disconnecting yourself entirely from your family is debatable and is far in the future where you'll have time and space to clear your head of their constant presence, so you can decide then. Plus there's the fact that, as super happy horror said, you're their son. they will always want to atleast keep in touch and make sure you're safe. I mean if they're willing to go through all that to "free" you from your "immoral" ways then they clearly care about you, just like most families do... and just like most families, they tend to truly screw up your life.

You know I used to believe that and I used to believe there was such a thing as good guys and bad guys, but frankly I've been here so long I don't know who is what anymore. All I know is that ever since our Summer 2008 camping trip I have never felt the same about my parents, and it's a very personal matter, if anyone wants to know pm me, other than that I don't want to publicize that much information. Thought about being bi never had the chance to "express" it though. I go with the don't knock it till you try it thing. I have very mixed up feelings about being bi or gay, but my mother has brought it up and discouraged it and dad always said, " ill dishone you if your a," well you see where that's going. my friends aren't sure what I am lol I'm always messing with them and they can't tell 100% if I'm messing with them or I'm for real. which could be used to my advantage until  I finally figure it out.

I waited 2 years before coming out as bisexual, but at the beginning of my next year of school, I came out as gay.
 You shouldn't make any decisions before you know how you truly feel.

Don't always trust surveys like that. Everyone is different; I took one once and came out as Hetrosexual, so they can be wrong.

I mostly think girls look pretty, and some anthro girls look pretty too. But I'm really picky about it. Other than that I feel like a loser when my friends say someone's hot.

But yes. I totally have no problem with those that are gay, straight, bi or lesbian. It's actually kinda cute seeing people going around with thier mates.
