Well, good looks doesn't always equal hit music (Voltaire is very sexy, and his music isn't hit music). It just seems to be a prerequisite.

We could always focus on the pros and prove many things wrong, but there's nothing really theorized into how such persons become famous, or have good music. Maybe people DO like the Jonas Brothers music for their looks. If you're collecting a book series and the final book in the series completely SUCKS but everything else is amazing, would you not still buy that last book?

I have to agree somewhat with the good looks thing.
I mean, if you watch American Idol, you'll see Simon comment on someone's looks. It's usually when they're "bad" too (like if the person is fat or he doesn't like how they're dressed or he doesn't like their hair >_>), although he does compliment people sometimes too. But it's like "HELLO! Listen to their SINGING! Stop paying attention to other things!"

I dont really enjoy Ll' Wayne, I tend to enjoy the more 'obscure musicians' A lot of their musis is really great, just not sponsored by some big company
and one example is Charles Hamilton, or his 'stage' name Sonic the Hamilton (he sings Sonic related songs, with sound effects 8 bit style, but in a rap style to keep it interesting)
