Jay smiled warmly, grabbing the .38 from the hood of the car and removing the bullets from it. Next he took the .45, removing the clip and seeing that it was completely empty, "Wait here for just a moment sir" The rabbit pocketed the bullets from the .38 and walks over to the driver's-side door of the crashed towncar. Bending down, he picked up one of the spent casings and inspected it, ".45 ACP round, hmmm..." He walked back to Gambino, dicreetly pocketing the casing.

Kistrev shoved away the arm around his shoulders...
"Jake, shurrup..."
"oh comeone, i talked to her afterwards... she said you were.."
Kistrev looked round to Jake
"said i was what?"
"oh, now who wants ta know eh? and she said you where cute, cos you where so quiet and shy..."
Kistrev shoved Jake off the sidewalk, laughing, the pair made their way back along to the pierside...

Spike was smiling as Jay walked back to the car. "Well? Now what?" Spike put his hands back in the pockets of his overcoat.

Jay fidgeted with the bullet casing in his pocket, "Now, you just come down to the precinct to give us your little account on record, no big deal, right?" Just as he finishes, he is tapped on the shoulder by one of the police officers, Morgan... he thinks (Jay still hadn't memorized all the names of the officers in the precinct). "Sir," Morgan began, "there are two men in the car, one of them's FBI... say his name is Callum Denton" Morgan fidgets for a moment, wondering why more agents were showing up on the scene.

"Denton huh? Tell me, the one with the badge, is he a German shepherd?" Jay asks a startled Morgan, the officer looks back over his shoulder at the car and it's occupants, "Er... no sir, the one with the badge wasn't a German shepherd, neither of them were." Jay grins at the officer's answer, "I'm sorry Spike, can I just get you to wait here for a moment, I'll leave... Morgan" he checks the officer's expression 'Great, I got the right name'. The Rabbit coughs to cover up the pause, "I'll leave Morgan here to... keep you company."

With that he strides off to the car, a friendly, welcoming look on his face, but his paws go to trace the guns behind his back.

Paul watched as the FBI agent walked towards his car, his paws sweating, there was no guarantee that they would make it out of here alive. Frankie was in the back seat, cocking the Thompson on his lap. "Not yet." Paul said as he waited until Jay was close enough to the car. Paul pulled the hammer back on the pistol in his right hand under the steering wheel. He started the engine and put the car in reverse, his foot still on the brake. When Jay was close enough, Frank began to fire, bullets ripping through the windshield at the officers watching the scene. Paul slammed on the gas, throwing the car into the busy street as Frank continued to fire. As some officers fired back, on clipped Paul in the shoulder. Paul raised the pistol and fired back, as Frank reloaded. He saw the rabbit from the FBI and took aim...

Spike was still as Morgan's back is riddled with gunshots. As the officer's body falls to the ground, it only occured to Spike that he was again, was under attack. He quickly looked around and made a run for it. He sprinted down into an alley and looked around for another place to run. He began to climb the fire escape into the nearest apartment and threw himself through an open window.

Jay yanked one of the sidearms from his holster, dropping to one knee at the first muzzle flashes. He took quick aim, squeezing off steady shots until he heard the satisfying pop of one of the car's tires. He rolled behind one of the police cruisers, turning only to see Morgan lying on the ground, clearly dead. Raising his head over the cover off the car, he fired more shots at the driver before turning and running towards the nearest alleyway. 'He couldn't have gone far...' He changed to a fresh clip as he ran, also taking out his second Colt. Just before turning into the alley, Jay turns to see if the car had been stopped. Instead, he saw the driver's pistol aimed directly at him...

Paul fired three times. The first shot just missing Jay's head, causing a window to shatter in a nearby apartment. The second bullet passed by Jay's right shoulder, hitting another officer behind him in the side of the head, instantly killing him. The third shot rang out as the last bullet was fired from the magazine. It's path planned to go directly through Jay's right collar bone. The car the two goons were in blew a tire and spun into a parked squad car. Frankie had a new drum in the bottom of the Thompson and began to fire while the wounded Paul struggled to get the car back on the road.

Jay's eyes widened as he saw the gun pointed at him. The rabbit dived for the cover of the alley, landing with a grunt as a new pain sears in his shoulder. He clamped a paw on the wound to stop the bleeding, struggling to holster his weapon. He called over a nearby officer, "Head around and cut him off." The policeman looked confused for a moment until the lapine yelled at him, breaking his usually calm and friendly demeanour, "Gambino's getting away, go!" The officer scrambled off, calling over a medic as he went.

The lapine rested his back against the wall of the alley as the medic, from the ambulance that had arrived earlier, patched up his wounded shoulder. Jay grunted sharply when the paramedic probed the wound, giving small encouragements, "Good, the bullet passed straight through." The rabbit can only nod soundlessly, gritting his teeth. When the medic was finished, Jay struggled to his feet, running after Gambino. The paramedic yelled after him but he didn't listen, sprinting after the escaped fox while using his uninjured arm to pull out the other handgun.

Jay looked at his bloodied paw as he turned a corner, shaking his head to tune out the yelling paramedic, he mutters to himself, "Hopefully I can get you before this becomes too bad... dammit, Peterson had better get there in time." He only just remembered the name of the police officer he had sent to head off Spike now.

Spike ran down the hallways of the apartment, he burst the door open to the stairs and began to run up the steps two at a time to the roof. He flung the roof open and looked around at the countless chimney stacks blowing smoke and hot air. He ran again, to the edge of the roof, peering over to the roof of the neighbouring building. He looked down, the ground was 18 stories below him. He looked across at the 6 foot gap the spaced the two towers. He took a few steps back and jumped, just barely making it. He rolled as he hit the surface and stood up, turing to run again, hopping from one building to the next. He looked over the ledge below to see Paul's car, speeding away from the scene, a few cops trailing behind.

Jay pelted after Spike, bursting through the door at the top of the stairwell, only to see a bushy fox tail fly over to the next rooftop. He ran to the edge of the roof, muttering to himself, "You chose the wrong day to try and hop away, Gambino". He tensed the powerful rabbit legs, bounding easily across to the next rooftop, pausing as he felt the twinge from his injured shoulder. He calls out to Skpike as he sees him look down at the chase on the ground, "They won't get away either, you know"

Spike continued to run, making a quick turn to a fire escape ladder. He jumped on and kicked the lever, the metal rungs began to plunge to the ground. It dropped it's fullest from the roof, the stop throwing Spike off into a heap of garbage. He got up and ran down the alley into the street knocking over a pedestrian over. He sprinted out into the street, getting hit by a car. He was throw into the windshield and to the ground. He got up and looked at the terrified fur behind the wheel. "OUT OF THE CAR!" Spike said, breaking the window. He grabbed the fur from inside and literally ripped them through the window he'd broken. He pulled open the door and got in, speeding off down the road into traffic.

Jay followed close behind, sliding down the fire escape ladder and running into the streets - moving throught the path that Spike had just cleared. He pulls out a Colt with his uninjured paw and fires at the tires of Spike's getaway car.

Spike heared the gunfire and ducked below the seat. There was a low popping sound. The car began to swerve but remained in control. He continued to drive, struggling to keep the car in a straight line and manouver through traffic.

Jay emptied the remaining shots in the clip, putting two through the side windows of the car as it turned the corner. He loaded a new clip and turned to the nearest car stopped on the road behind him, flashing his FBI badge, "Sorry sir, I need to borrow your car, official business." The confused fur climbs out of the driver's seat to give Jay his car. "Don't worry, you can pick this up at the 3rd Precinct tomorrow, safe and sound" With that the rabbit drove off, hot on Gambino's trail - the blown tires smoking slightly as the fox's car drove, giving Jay a clear view of where he was heading.

" a beauty aint she.." Kitt was adjusting te suspension on the Skoda 100 parked on the dockside, while jake watched.

"she is that Kistrev, top of the line 100 saloon? ya got yerself a good deal there...."

With a creak of the spring suspension Kistrev climbed in, Jake getting into the passenger seat... "c'mon lets take her fer a spin..."
Pulling away smoothly Kistrev turned onto the main roads where the traffic was movingly more freely now the morning rush had cleared...
