The Commission

[KittKat chunky~]

Not three miles away, the very feline in mention was, rather inexpertly, backing up a truck onto the pier...
"Back a bit Kitt... back... back.. NO WAIT, STOP!!!"
A loud crunch made everyone within earshot cringe....
"Well..... your on the pier mate, thats for sure...."
A grinning feline jumped out from the drivers seat, walking over to the back of the truck he shrugged...
"That'l buff out...."

[Alice The Necrofox]

"You've got an idea there, but I wanna make sure he gets back to his girl. He just bought an apartment for them. How about this. Invite him, send Kitt in and say he is you're closest friend. That is sure to arouse this dog's suspicions. I will enter normally with no escort, play the table, and excuse myself. I'll come back and hit him in the back of the head. How's that sound? Unless you want one of my flunkies to do it."

[Armalite_]

"Well actually I was just thinking it would be more convienient to have Kitt walked up and shoot him a few times since he's already out there." Spike said leaning against the filing cabinet again. "I'll give him a call. Cops won't have anything on him. He's a dock worker even still, he's an illegal. As far as the government is concerned, the man don't exist."

"Well lets make sure he doesn't get caught."
He holds out a paw to shake.
"Lets do this."

"Jake... you aint gonna follow me all the way to 3rd street are ya?"
Jake smirked, embracing his feline companion in a one arm, and yet still brone crushing hug...
"You know me Kitt... I'd follow you ta the end of the earth to make sure you okay.... but just this once... i reckon you dont need me..."
Kitt nodded, thankful that Jake had understood, and that he had finally managed to get out of that lethal hug... the big guy meant well...
"Right well i'l see ya round... I'm gonna show her the new apartment..."
Jake raised an eyebrow, whistling in admiration...

Ten minutes later and Kitt was sitting in his Skoda 100, engine ticking over smoothly, waiting on the corner of 3rd street.... he yawned, the light of the evening already fading, as the first street lamps flickered to life.... rubbing the sleep from his eyes he watched as a figure turned the corner of the street, even through the fog and low light, it was obvious who it was...
"hey hun, you're early..."
Kitt smirked, opening the car door...
"Better than being late..."

[Armalite_]

Spike shook Shiro's hand. "He won't get caught." Spike turned again to look at the rat. "Where is Callum right now?" Spike asked wondering if Callum was packing any muscle to help him around wherever he went. Although Callum was a fed, he had fuzz watching his every move...mainly because of Spike. He had Callum do a lot of dirty work and cops were catching on. There was never any evidence of it though. Witnesses disappeared, scenes were burnt down due to faulty wiring, and Spike always had an alibi for the both of them. The cops might have known but they would never be able to prove it. Same would go for Kitt especially since he comes from the other side of the world.

"So... where's this apartment?"
Kitt kept his eye on the road, which was hard with Jesse in the seat next to him...
"Well.... try guessing..."
Jesse smirked, crossing her legs as Kitt took a turning onto a main road...
"Okay... is at the warehousing?"
Kitt frowned "No, course not, I wouldn't get an apartment down in that hell hole..."
"Uhm... at the docks?"
Kitt turned towards the docks, and then took another turning parallel to the main river... "Close but no cigar..."
He finally stopped outside a block of apartments overlooking the river, lower down from the docks where the pleasure boats and cruise boats docked...

Standing on the small blacony, Kitt wrapped his arms around Jesse from behind, a slightly chilled wind, blew up from the river...
"Man, this is beautiful Kitt... how ever did ya aford this place, on a dock workers wage n' all!"
Kitt smirked, kissing her "I have my ways..."

"Well give him a few minutes. He should be with Jesse right now, so I will call him tomorrow. You said the game wasn't for a week, so lets start setting this up."
He looked back at Stanley.
"So, what else you got on him?"
The rat pulled out a manilla envelope stuffed with photos and papers.
"These are the guys my boys have noticed hanging around him. They seem to be meeting in the financial district next to the Police station. Paranoid. They don't show the Cops their dealings, the cops give 'em protection. That is just where they hang, however, they have counterfeiting presses in the basement of an abandoned car garage on 11th and Beaver. I know this cause' I intercepted the order forms for printing presses to that address. Be careful though. It may be a trap down there..."

A nock on the apartment door interrupted the two felines... getting up off the bed, which was one of the only pieces of furniture Kitt could afford for now, he walked through to the hall and opened the door with a slight grumble about 'interuptions'... He opened the door to find a large, and grinning, timber wolf standing on the other side...
"Hey Kitt... ya forgot to pick up yer pay for the fortnight..."
Jake held out a small paper envelope which would contain the weeks pay... maybe, $20 at best, probably less seeing as the docks had been closed most of the week... Kitt took the money, frowning at Jake...
"How the...  How did you know where the new apartment was?!"
Jake smirked and winked... "I have my ways Kitt..."

"Uh.. Jesse, this is Jake... Jake... Jesse...."
Kitt introduced the two at the bedroom door. Jesse smiled, jumped up from the bed, and hugged the now very surprised Jake...
"So this is the big fella' you mentioned Kitt!"
Jake looked over her shoulder, which wasnt that hard with his height, and raised an eyebrow to Kitt, mouthing silently...
"big fella'?"

[Armalite_]

"Good enough for me." Spike said, walking out of the doorway and back into the bar. "Shiro, Paul, c'mon we got business to attend to in Jersey." Spike walked out of the door to the bar and into the street.

Paul looked at Shiro. "I guess we're taking care of this right now...and without a plan again." The wolf heaved a sigh and followed after Spike. He paused and turned around. "Get a piece if you got one. Things are gonna get ugly." The wolf walked out into the bar and grabbed a shot from off the counter and downed it on his way out. The fur whom it belong to hadn't even noticed.

"Me? I almost never carry one, but since it is dangerous."
He picked up a piece on the table and put extra shells into his pocket.
"Lets do this."

Jake walked out of the apartment, and Kitt closed the door behind him... he turned back into the apartment to face Jesse who was still standing at the door of the bedroom...
"Well... now thats Jake's out of our hair..."
Jesse pouted, leading Kitt back into the bedroom by the arm... "I liked the guy.. He's funny, ya know?"
Kitt smirked, looking her in the eye.. "well sure he's funny... but him coming up here, was just a little annoying..."
Jesse smiled back and closed the door....

Half an hour later and Kitt was back at the docks, they where working overtime to try to shift all the coal orders, and Jesse had gone to the shops with her wages to make the apartment look more 'homely'... Kitt laughed under his breath, wondering just what she meant by that....

The next coal crate came crashing down onto the pier, as a sea spray whipped up and over the jetty...

((Shiro, you're in the car with Spike/Paul/Frank))
An hour had passed and the black Ford pulled up to the docks in Jersey. The engine went dead. Spike looked out the windshield to see Kitt handling more coal. Paul looked at Spike from the passenger's seat. "You sure we should be doing this, boss?" The fox looked at the wolf before giving him a slap to the back of his head. Spike didn't explain his actions, he only went back to looking at Kitt. Frankie was loading bullets into a clip while Spike cautiously looked around for any Romano goons...and the dockyard was loaded with them.

Spike turned around in his seat to face Shiro. "Ok, so you're going to confront Kitt. Bring him to the car. We'll keep a watch out should bullets start flyin'."

[Alice The Necrofox]

"You got it. I'll be right back." He got out of the car.
The cold biting wind hit him in the face. He loved the feeling, the sea air. He didn't get out to the Gambino section of the docks enough. The wind through his fur felt like heaven. He shook his head and cleared it. It wasn't time for feelings right now. He walked over to the dockside. A couple of the boys there waved at him. They may have been Romano, but that was the beauty of running a bar in the center of town. He had friends everywhere, even though his allegiance was with Gambino. He was unhindered as he made his way to Kitt on the docks.
"Hey Kitt... I know this is kinda sudden, but I need to ask you a favor..."

Kitt turned to Shiro, brushing the coal dust from his jacket, and tipping his cap back out of his eyes...
"Oh hey, didn' expect ta see you roun' this neck of the woods.... And anything i can do for ya buddy, you introduced Jesse an' me togetha... i owe you more favours than i can count on one paw..."
He leant on the crate of coal, listening to Shiro, Jake looked over from the other side of the pier, but thought nothing off it and got back to loading another crate of coal into a truck...

Jesse had got the groceries they needed, which wasnt much at all... and had dropped by her mums apartment for old times sakes.... her mother greeted her with a hug, and several kisses to each cheek... she laughed happily, taking the bags off of Jesse and leading her through to the kitchen...
""You dont call nearly often enough dear! How have you been? I heard about your new click by the way.."
Jesse stopped, surprised... her mother was the spitting image of Jesse, dark hair, bright amber eyes and the same silky laugh....
"How did you??? New click!?"
Her mother laughed again, pinching her daughters cheek...
"Your mother knows a thing or too... just because your living on your own doesnt mean i cant love my only daughter.."
Jesse smiled back, following her mother into the kitchen...
