The Commission

Jay quickly took his feet off the dash board and turned off the police radio when he saw a cat dressed like a dock worker go into the garage. He muttered quietly to himself, "That must be Kistrev." He had no file photo to go by, so he committed the feline's face to his memory. He sighed, "And now I wait... again." He watched through the large garage doors, as Kistrev picks up a Skoda 100 - "Of course, a Slovakian car, should have seen that coming." He didn't plan to start up his car until he saw the Skoda drive out of the garage, he didn't want to startle his prey.

aaaw, jeez.. its a beauty Frank! cant believe you kept this for meh!

Kistrev was leaning out of the window brushing a paw along the new red paint job... frank nodded, rifling through the last of the deposit and waved to Kistrev as he revved the newly installed engine and pulled slowly out onto the road

He followed Kistrev, making sure to keep a reasonable distance in the light traffic to remain unnoticed. When Kistrev stopped at an office building, Jay waited for him to go inside before exiting his car. He waited outside the building, to the left of the door and out of sight of the guards - between the office and Kistrev’s car. Once again, he waited for the cat, though he didn’t expect Kistrev to take long – his theory was that Kistrev was reporting directly to Gambino, as that would complete the circle; a dead Romano who was last seen following Gambino, a mob informant working on a Romano dock, and the Lombardi underboss who liked to get his hands dirty. It all made sense, all he needed was to meet this cat now, so he waited for Kistrev the third time that night.

Callum began to walk around the corner, munching on a world famous Fenway Frank. He walked in uniform when he spotted the other agent from the scene peering out of the alleyway next to the compound. "Hey, Jay!" Callum said, smiling and waying with his free paw. "Wha'ch you doin' here?" He asked smiling and taking a bite out of his hotdog.

-Meanwhile-

Spike was pouring himself another drink on the small liquor table in his office. He took his scotch glass and strode over to his desk, standing behind it and staring out the large window, down into the busy streets that filled the air with people yelling and cars honking. He sipped from the glass, waiting for Kristev to walk in at any moment with his information.

Kistrev ran up the stairs, taking them three at a time... he reached what he could only assume was Spike's office and nocked before opening the door and entering.
"I came early, ive got some information that i dont think can wait..." He looked round the large office, feeling small and diminutive.

[Armalite_]

Spike turned around. "So it seems. Have a seat...please." He gestured to one of the leather chairs positioned in front of his desk. He kept his serious face, he wasn't in the mood to shadow the reality. Spike sat down in his large chair, looking at Kristev still standing at the door. He gestured again to the chair in front of him.

"errr, yessir.."
he sat down into the leather chair and tried to look everywhere but directly at spike...
"well, im sure somone as informed as you already knew of the bomb that went of down on pier 14...."
he licked his lips nervously, his ear twitched involutarily.. this was the moment, tell him... or dont.....
"weeell.... I was there at the scene... i saw what happened... i also saw, at least some of... what had been on the ship.... i dont suppose they found anything in the wreck?"

[Armalite_]

"Other than the drowned bodies of immigrants, no, I haven't heard anything. Did you see who planted the bomb? Anyone shady, had no business in being there?"

"ah ya see, thats the strange thing... the Romano officers, they pulled us all of the pier, we could all see there was tons more crates to bring out... all of em full like ya said of immigrants like me... but they pulled us off saying it werent none of our buisiness.... so me beein the guy i am right... i stayed be'ind, kept an eye on what was goin on... jus' for you righ'? And when them Marino police turned up they was inspectin one of them crates fulla immi's... and as soon as the side was off they scattered, ran like hell they did... the thing was fulla' dummies and ruddy great bomb t'was! well, thats all i saw, i mean most of them Romano officers where killed in the blast, seemed there musta been more bombs set all the way through the containers... half a ship load that was!"

Spike tapped his finger against his desk, narrowing his eyes at Kristev's explaination. He finally spoke. "I see." He clasped his hands together on his desk. "Do you run into anyone with loose lips? Say anything about big plans for anything on the pier? Mention families, cops?"

[KittKat chunky~]

Kitt looked back into Spike's eyes...
"no sir, i only just come of age ya see sir, i mean, i been round the docks before, everyone been round the docks... but only this week i been working there... and other than you i aint seen no one..."

Spike looked puzzled. "A bomb explodes, killing Romano soldiers, cops show up out of nowhere, we got dead immigrants, dead mobsters no one to take the blame. What do you think?"

Jay grinned at the other FBI agent, internally frustrated that he was found here - but not at all surprised to see Denton walking towards the compund that he suspected Gambino to be holed up in. "Hey Callum" he greeted him casually, he though of his cover story, which was nothing but the truth, "I'm watching a person of interest right now, a Lombardi underboss - goes by the name Gambino." He smirked, he wanted to see how Callum would react because if Kistrev was in fact, reporting to Gambino, then that was who was paying Denton under the table.

"what do i think? well im only a dockworker but personally sir... i think the commission is falling apart... sabotage looks like the name o' the game sir..."

Callum munched on his hitdog as he replied. "Woah, ok, don't hurt yourself. Good luck to ya." He said before walking away. "But if I was you, I'd do a bit of ground work first, you can't just take out the heads of NYC before working your way up!" He yelled back, loud enough for the guards to hear. The two wolves standing out front in black overcoats looked over at Callum then in the direction he was yelling in. One looked at the other before one walked over to investigate. He walked down the side of the building, his right hand in his pocket reaching for his gun.

Spike fell back in his chair. "A lot of that going around now." Spike said, puting his paw to his face. "And don't call me sir, the name's Spike..." He reached into his pocket and pulled out a cuban cigar and a wad of cash. "Here." He said sliding it over across the desk. "And if you're ever in any trouble..." He reached into his other pocket, pulling out a gun. "Use d'is." He wiped the gun down with a small rag to clear it of prints before he slid the small revolver across the desk, having it stop next to the money and cigar.
