sooooooo um i guess my main reason for being here is to find a girlfriend. i havent been able to get one at school or work or anything and i have a lot of friends who have girlfriends which does seem to leave me out of a lot of things...anyway my friend told me to join this place and look around here only thing is i dont seem to share a lot of interests with the people here who seem to mainly enjoy rping second life and imvu. i dont particularly enjoy these and want some advice on this if its no trouble  :P

where should i be looking for a furry girl? any sites you would reccommend or um i suppose there is an anime convention soon that a good place to look?

Even though that this is not a dating site, asking for advice on dating in general is not against the rules.

Try to just make friends with people at first, don't go straight for dating. After a long enough time, then you can start considering in asking the individual people about dating.

Just because someone is a member here doesn't mean they automatically enjoy RPing, SecondLife, and IMVU. :P I certainly don't. (Well, I used to use IMVU, but not anymore.)

You just have to look around and make friends. And it's usually not a great idea to just restrict yourself to furries either (not assuming you are, but it should be said).

Dont go looking for a girl, just go looking for things you want to do. That's what I did. I had no intention of getting a girlfriend for a good few years, but i did want to try out some journalism. I joined a local free magazine and met a girl who i fell in love with. That was 2 years ago and it's going really well.

If you really want to look for someone, just look in places that you like. Not just furries but anything.

His front paws will develop in funny ways. Why can't he walk on all fours like normal proto-hominids?' And so, whatever the kids spend the most time doing, that's always what parents think is a waste of time, and what is corrupting their lives. It doesn't matter what that is. If all they did was homework, parents would be worrying that their kids aren't becoming well-rounded people. And, in fact, parents do this - enrolling math nerds in karate classes and the like. There is no way to win - parental paranoia ensures that kids are always doing the wrong thing."

As part of a balanced diet

Yeah, don't restrict yourself to just furries. My boyfriend actually became a furry after we started and I told him I was one, so it caught his interest and he became one (on his own, mind you, I didn't make him).
Just try to make friends and move on from there. Don't focus on dating or trying to find a mate, just focus on doing what you do and being who you are.

As said before don't look at just furries for a relationship, because that would be really restricting your choices there.

Personally if you want to find someone closely relative to your interests perhaps look at closely related fandoms such as anime or video games.  I know for a fact that the anime and furry fandom almost go hand in hand.
