After a couple of hours, the group started back up again on the ascent: Icey and Daisuke going into the air first, followed by Ruby, then Vosur and Akodo hot on the others' heels along the mountain's rock-face. To try to ease the trip along, Vosur tried talking to Akodo while they were moving, hopefully trying to get her relaxed a little. "I never told you much of my past other than that I was someone that took orders." he said to her, catching hold of the cliff-face to start climbing a bit to allow his legs to cool down while he talked.
"I had a feeling you were a soldier of some type, a brilliant mind doing grunt-work." she managed to reply, still holding tightly to him, though somewhat loosening thanks to the harness that she was secured to him with.
The others slowed their ascent to keep an eye on Vosur as he had to slow down, watching him as they hovered within listening range. "I was not only someone who received orders, I had to give them out to others. One of the orders I received and gave led to the massacre of hundreds of souls in a temple, including their 'Angel' named Ebele."
"You mean..." she started off speaking, interrupted by Vosur as he jumped to another rock-face as he couldn't reach a rock-ledge with his hands.
After he landed and resumed the climb, he continued to talk. "The one who gave me the sword, the one who I named the sword after... the Spirit of Ebele. She willingly gave her life up in giving me this sword and told me that it was for my own redemption to have such a weapon. Holding it felt so natural, but I knew the sword and sheath were more ancient than the temple itself." he said, doing a preparatory shift before he forward-catapulted himself up to the next ledge. He almost didn't catch it, scrabbling again at the face-side before he had to fire off his thrusters to get a good grip. "Whoa.. too close."
Akodo went completely silent, tensed up from a mix of terror from Vosur's stunts and thinking solemnly on the burden he bears going through her mind.
