I dont think I like the idea of a band of the dead, adventuring to save themselves from some impenetrable illness. It reminds too much of most of the roleplays I've been on. I really quite like this one because it's more about the interaction and development of entities, leading to conflict. It allows imagination to run wild. Pulling it into an oft used plotline seems like a step backwards to me.
Well, the 'face-less' I introduced are still a mystery, like what made them, how do they know how to fight, and how come it only seems to happen in the neutral dimension?

I thought you were in the nameless dimension...
Yes, but so are the face-less

and for the record, I had no idea I introduced them without Xleena's consent, but now that I realize it, I would like to propose it as an Rp arch

That's why I questioned the nameless dimension thing.
Neutral (or Folen) is where Xleena, Asia, Kitt, and I are. Heh.

The idea also sounds good to me. But, of course, that's for Xleena to decide. Just thought I'd add my two cents.

Um, isn't Folen the "Heaven" of this rp?

No problem. I just didn't want you getting confused later on, so I thought I'd help now.
And that sounds cool to me. Maybe you subconsciously know the secrets of the place and maybe that's why the face-less keep attacking you in particular? Just a thought, but it's your idea, of course.:)

hmmm... well... how about this?

The disease wont kill anyone, but perhaps will be a sort of manipulation to people (the person who gives you it has control over you for a bit)- and the more good you are the less it has affect on you. If in Onea then it has no effect- but in the nameless dimension and Folen- it could have very little or a very big effect on you- but say- only for a short time (e.g. 1 hour) unless the Heno resident or anyone else affected by the virus comes into contact with you again- and even then it wears off after a shorter time. This is so then theres no 'OH MAI GOD GUUUUYYYYYS, LETS GO SAVE THE WOOORRRLD' sort of thing (because I hate that too..!), but it will end up annoying people enough to conflict and outcast Heno residents?...

What do you guys say? (Don't worry Gabag, it means you can still be super evil by controlling people to do bad things- kinda like how your character is if i'm not misinterperating? :3)

You guys really are good for making me think this stuff out :3

Also, i'm liking the faceless idea Chrono- you could perhaps mistakenly unleash them at some point into other dimensions?
Wherever the wind blows, you will hear my voice whisper in your ear.

I personally do not like the Idea of a disease or the face-less. Maybe if they seemed a bit harder to kill they would be more plausible as an enemy. And the whole disease thing. The idea of being able to control somebody...it doesn't strike me as being fair.. Those are my two cents

I hope you will remember me, At least say so to comfort me, You say goodbye so easily, Its now or never, It may seem really pitiful, But life became too beautiful, The pain of love unbearable, It's now or never, Gone Forever.

Its my guy's ability that makes them easier to kill, they're actually a bit tougher than they seem....

My power is very visible, strikes in a straight line from the point of launch, but its nowhere near as fast as a bullet. But if the attack connects, it basically removes everything in the 'blast' radius, and its only like a good 1' 5'' circumfrence on all sides

these guys are essentially face-less zombies with adept use of the weapon they wield. Not too hard for the fodder/soldier class, but they are the most common, theres only a very few (about 20%) that rise above that rank into "Elite"

Well, I suggested to Xleena an idea about the people in the nameless dimension. Maybe it can involve the others, maybe not. If not, then I'll just keep my own little story within the workings of the main plot. The nameless aren't really going to be able to remember themselves on their own. Maybe they could use some help? Maybe we could have some plot to enforce that? I dunno, just throwing it out there. I know my character has a flash of an old man getting killed. I'll probably have her looking for him, I'm not sure.

Maybe there could be something behind the faceless? Like maybe souls that have been defected or something. Something happened while they died causing them to lose themselves? Maybe we could create a plot with that. There's numerous things we could do with what we do have, but you never know until we get our ideas and input together.

I think the faceless should be part of the illness, and not souls in themselves. If someone is infected, these creatures apparate before them, and are manifestations of the illness. They are far easier to kill in the nameless dimension because they are shadows of what killed them in one of the other dimensions; remnants, since this is where the souls go to when they die in the other realms. The faceless no longer bother the other dimensions because the disease burned itself out. It killed too many, and had no soul to carry it on to others.
"Parents always think kids are wasting their youth, and always have done [so] down through the millennia," says Tom Forsyth of RAD Game Tools. "'That Ug, always holding things. His front paws will develop in funny ways. Why can't he walk on all fours like normal proto-hominids?' And so, whatever the kids spend the most time doing, that's always what parents think is a waste of time, and what is corrupting their lives. It doesn't matter what that is. If all they did was homework, parents would be worrying that their kids aren't becoming well-rounded people. And, in fact, parents do this - enrolling math nerds in karate classes and the like. There is no way to win - parental paranoia ensures that kids are always doing the wrong thing."

Lets not get rediculous, if people wanna come up with their own thing let them do it. Do not turn this thread into a facet of your frustration. It seems we are all having a hard time coming up with a central plot or base to work from. If this turns into an argument I'll lock the thread and there will be no discussion at all.

I think we should all come to our own conclusions and work them into the roleplay when interacting. If you want to be disease ridden thats fine and if you want to be a nameless soul who can't remember something that's fine.
